Sadly Byron, we are in the quintillions. Can you not count?
It would appear that I cannot count.

I should have said "not" rather than "now," or "quintillions" instead of "quadrillions," but that is of less moment than the fact that I have inadvertantly disrupted the sequence.

I did note that your numbers were in error, but I should have been more clear in my postings.

Fibonacci number 92 is:

7,540,113,804,746,346,429

The first mistake was actually all the way back in post #108.

Should have been: 160,500,643,816,367,088

Soo... with your permission, I am backing up to that point.

Fibonacci numbers 84: 160,500,643,816,367,088

Download J2SE v. 1.4.2_08 JRE

This will allow you to run the zipped program in the attachment which will allow us to verify the larger numbers. This program is only limited by the amount of ram you have on your computer. Since I have 1 GB of RAM, I have about 900 million digits accessible to me.

My friend programmed this for me. It works fine.

Great idea, but I'll skip. Part of the fun for me in playing on this thread is using my brain (not to mention the requisite stone tablet and chisel). ;)

Well, it's a good way to verify your answers, especially when we get to numbers that have over one hundred digits.
