Fever! in the mornin' ~ fever all through the night

I have had a fever on and off now for a week. I just took my temperature and it's registering at 101. Last night my fever broke and then in the middle of the night I was wracked with the most intense shivering and shaking that I have ever experienced. This went on for about 40 minutes before my body relaxed.

I don't seem to have any other cold symptoms. No coughing, no sore throat, nothing. I thought once a fever broke it went away. I am weak and aching and my eyes feel like they're going to bug out of my head.

Is there a doc in the house? A nurse? Anybody have a clue about something like this?

Hmmm, not a doctor, buit I play one on TV. Or at least on Lit. Perhaps you need to come in for an exam?

Rose, get to the doctor! A fever lasting that long is not good. Your body is trying to fight off an infection but if you don't feel bad, other than your eyes bugging out, you should go to the doctor to find out what your body is trying to fight off. I hope you feel better soon!

It's the flu, Rose ... I've had it, too ... just like you said.

Try some of that Alka Seltzer Plus for Flu medicine ... works pretty good, but you won't remember your name for a while.

Hope you feel better soon and can come back to play.

Yep, go to the doctor. I had a bug from Tues last week, till yesterday (Superbowl Sunday) . Fever, chills, aching, runs and throwing up.

But no sore throat, no runny nose, no coughing sneezing or anything like that.

I just felt rotton and weak. I think if I could have afforded to go to the docs, I would have been better faster.
