Fetish party virgin :)

I am planning on attending my first fetish party in about a month but don't know what I should wear.

It has a strict dress code, so I definaely need to wear someting.

I think my problem is I've never really been too into fetishes, but am open to most.

I love the look of women in latex, but never tried it out myself. I expect most large pieces (ie shirts, shorts pants) would be expensive.

I'm also into bondage, but not sure how to incorporate that into a costume...

Any ideas?

btw this party is a rave type party, all night long, with DJ's so there would definately be dancing involved.

The last fetish party I went to was years ago. Fetish Factory if I remember correctly... I actually found the pair of calf length black leather boots I wore at a thrift store. With a bit of polish and conditioning, it looked great. So that's another option if you don't want latex. You'll be surprised at some of the clothes they have.

Some toy stores will sell latex clothing, but yes, it can be expensive.

I'm no longer a party person so I'm not sure what advice to offer.

Seek assistance!

When you don't know how to do something, often the best policy is to seek an expert opinion...and then follow it. I recommend contacting a friend who HAS attended such parties, preferably at THAT location and ask them to help you find appropriate attire. (I realize it perpetuates generalizations, but women are often better at this task than men.)

WynEternal has a good suggestion with checking out thrift stores first; you never know what you'll find. If any friends attending are near your size, they may be able to loan you something for your first couple times.

Since you mentioned being into bondage, you should be able to incorporate that without much difficulty. Just add your bondage toys to your outfit-- wear the hand/ankle cuffs, wraps ropes around yourself (bandolier style?), or heck go all out and tie yourself to your headboard and bring it with! (If you do any variation of the latter, make sure a trusted friend stays near you the entire time.)

I couldn't tell if you're M or F, but particularly if you're F, just being very scantily or even tightly clad is often enough to meet the dress code.

hullabaloo: if you live near a mall with a Hot Topic, that is an easy place to go to. I find great deals on the sales rack. You can pick up a pair of boots, some fishnets, a pair of vinyl shorts and a fancy bra and you're set! Put some fun colors or ribbons in your hair for extra pizzaz! (The dress, that you can hardly see in my avatar for my shining white ass in the way, is from Hot Topic for $5)

Or, you can hit the thrift shops and maybe find some funky retro stuff from the 50's. Get a slinky dress with heels and garters, with maybe some cat eye sunglasses. Or you could find a petticoat to wear with stockings and a corset (if you are lucky enough to find one). You can find some really unusual stuff at the right thrift stores. These fetish parties tend to see a lot of the same ol' vinyl/latex getups and I'm sure they'd like to see something new and interesting (doesn't necessarily have to be a "fetish" outfit).

For the record I am a guy, I think I would have far less trouble if I was a gal.

As for hot topic, none of those stores anywhere near here unless I am mistaken.
