I would say it takes a strong character to defy any cultural convention of one's own accord. The reason FF is sissification, though, is because it's forced. It is an outside entity that decides the man is going to have his masculinity stripped away. Even if he is a willing participant (wich he usually is), the orchestration of the feminization is still done by someone else.
