I once met a young, Native American woman on the Internet who claimed that, in her family, the women ruled the men. In other words, all the men were slaves. Even the father was a slave to the daughter and had to obey her.

I do not remember if she indicated that this was a common practice among her people, but she did say that it was acceptable behavior.

I have not seen anything written about it on other sites, but it was nonetheless thought-provoking.

Several years ago, I read about a small village in China, in which the women rule the men.

There is also a site called, FemdomEcoVillage, which is an attempt to form a working femdom community (probably agri-based) somewhere in or near the state of Florida. I think they have attempted to elicit funding from various subscribers, but I don't believe they have been very successful.

Certainly among male submisives, the idea is very appealing, and many fictional stories have been written about the subject.

I have read about American tribes where the man marries into the women's tribe. She provides all of his clothing, his weapons and everything. I've even read where if she gets tired of him she just throws him out naked and anyone can have him then. Or she'll give him away. But they never mentioned plural marriages or anything.

I'd love to read about a sort of femdom religion that was sort of an offshoot of the Mormon church but instead of the male having as many wives as he wanted it was the women who could have as many husbands as she liked. Now that I like.
