They let themself's go not all but some in a stable relationship some give up worrying about how they look cause they feel secure.

Or if it's a violent relationship with a jerk of a men they start comfort eating.

We don't let oursleves go as such...its more a comfort zone really....you get a man.....you dont have to worry bout your weight therefore you eat more.....

The reverse is true as well I went thru a stage when I was in a stable relationship where I got fat.

Maybe its because ones metabolism slows down after they get married?? They think they've reached all there goals and it's time to settle down??
Not all but a lot of people (both men and women) think "now that I'v got them I don't have to worrie about my body." course thats never made snes to me. I believe if you make your self unatractive then you SO will start looking at others. That may not be true but I do worrie about it and act on it.

Gettin bigger is just natural for some men and women....I don't think it is a big problem in a relationship....especially marriage......as many chicken wings and sodas as I throw down I'm making sure the preacher slips in "Will you accept him...for better and for girth..." before I say I do...

After 3 kids (in a very short period of time) and no weight gain or even one stretch mark, I guess I'm in a position to scrutinize my husband who is falling apart (lol sorry hun, it's not as bad as it sounds). He has a slight paunch and the beginning of a bald patch on his head. Hmm....He's really letting himself go. I wonder if I should trade him in for a fresh model?

Having children can make a woman gain and not pregnancy weight. You cook and then tend to eat what the kids don't while cleaning up. Maybe if men did the dishes more and ate the leftovers, they'd gain a few pounds.

I say that if a man OR woman wants a slim partner, do stuff together. Gym, hike, swim, have sex more often but don't just sit there and criticize. Help each other along. And have fun doing it.
