I hope MI works out for you. I was there last week. I'm in Chicago, but get to the "other side of the lake" every few weeks or so. I can tell you that Detroit has come a long way in the last few years -- inspite of the hard times the auto companies seem to be having.

I was there last week and went to a game at the newer Tiger's stadium. What a great arena! It's definitely a sports town. I think you might enjoy it.

I will be moving to the Windsor, Ontario/Detroit, Michigan area, in September. This area will be new to me as I am currently living in western Canada. I am also in the process of a divorce.
