Maybe it's a case of "too good to be true"?

I know how much of a struggle it was for me to realise that women who enjoy submitting DO actually exist, and they're not just fantasies from my sick and twisted little mind. You think so? I feel like I read a lot of "female submissives are insecure, overcompensate for that insecurity by completely suppressing their own identity and needs in the name of the Almighty D/s, and can't manage on their own." Maybe it's less explicitly-stated than "Dommes, what the fuck?".
