Poll, of course, will follow ----- Basic question here. Clinton or Sanders to form the Democratic 2016 platform? And why, for God's sake!

Sad to say, for real life kind of reasons, I have to go dark for a couple weeks, but I hope you can carry on in my absence. I'm sure you don't need me to moderate the discussion.

Yeh, yeh, I know I already posted this in the Politics Board, and here without the poll (Ignore that one :) ). But, bottom line is I like to annoy you here in the GB. Ok, ok, and you sometimes have better answers, and are more interesting, and actually sometimes breathe.

Oh, and, I def Feel the Bern, but only Busybody cares.

I just really want America to have a President Bernie.

It'll be Weekend at Bernie's, only for four years.

Looking at things realistically, Bernie's chances of getting the nomination are slim and none, and slim is in Texas, which is not good for Bernie.

That's what Hillary (and most of the pundits) thought nine months ago, but the reality on the ground in 2016 is not so normal.

That's what I thought nine months ago, and that's what I think now. Virtually every Democrat I know personally supports Bernie, but I don't know any superdelegates personally, and I know each one of them is worth thousands of ordinary voters. They are who will determine who the nominee will be, just like they did in 2008, and last I checked the superdelegate count was 494-19 in favor of Hillary.

That's because in reality, democrats fucking hate democracy.

He's going to win the vote, and the supers will give the nomination to HRC, because the are vile scum.

I don't think the average Democrat hates democracy, but the Party bosses certainly do. That's why superdelegates exist. Can't let the peasants run the Party.

The average Democrat supports both the party bosses and the elites with funding and votes.

As such they are fully fucking responsible for the current state of affairs.

You're right about that, but the way they see it is they're choosing the lesser of two evils. That's the impression I have.

That's the lame excuse they peddle.

The real reason is they are greedy fucks and voted their wallet.

I disagree with your conjecture, which of course means you are wrong. ;)

Having said that, I'm really not sure who I want to vote for this time around, normally I've decided by now. I like Sanders, but I also remember how McGovern wrecked the party in 1972. Plus Sanders' unwavering support of the Israeli Reich is troubling.

In any event, though, Sanders or Clinton would be a far better President than anyone the Republicans can nominate.

What I want and what I expect are different goats. Or porcupines. Or whatever.

I think Bernie is the best of the current lot. I expect Hillary to take the nomination.

I may vote for Tromp in the California primary because it won't really matter here.

I expect Tromp vs Hillary with Hillary winning and maybe taking the Senate Demo.

But all sortsa shit can happen between now and then. We could be very surprised.

Anyone can die. Hillary could be indicted. Bloomberg may run. Tromp might moult.

And the Supremes might throw the election again. It's happened before, y'know.

Whatever happens in November, most USAnians won't like the results. I guarantee it.

Where's the option for "I'm voting for Trump because I know that, if he wins the presidency, he'll bring on Hillary and friends to run everything while he mans the microphones"?

A lot of Republicans do the same, as I'm sure you know. People are people.

Uh hua.....that's still the reality of the situation.

We waz greedy and now we are in a total power struggle between the peasantry/wage slaves and the nobility. We're getting what we voted for, and there is a very real possibility that might lead us to having what most would consider a landslide victory for Sanders, and then the DNC superdouches breaking us off some Hillary and telling us peasants to STFU suck it.

True. All true and legit concerns.

But being the informed guy you are I don't have to spell out the economic implications of Sanders vs. Hillary (R)odham for me and my community here in the emerald triangle do I?;)

The Left Coast is feeling the Bern from Santa Cruz to Seattle....IDK about SoCal, I bet they slob up on H(R)'s knob.

I figure Bernie will win today in Nevada, but think he will gain little in the way of delegates from it, if anything. I don't see him winning in South Carolina.

Looks like Hillary is squeezing out a 'win' in Nevada, maybe something like the rigged vote in Iowa, but nothing significant. Will SC really matter?

Curiously, both entrance and exit polls showed Bernie winning convincingly with Hispanics, something of a surprise, and somewhat less convincingly with whites, but getting absolutely destroyed by blacks. That's apparently how Hillary managed to gain a win in the delegate count, which is the only thing the Party officially reveals regarding how the individual "voting" went. Not a good sign for Bernie in South Carolina, where the majority of voters will be black.
