Hi everyone!

Just wanted to say thanks to all for their feedback and questions regarding why Chapter 4 of "Anna's Magic" never made it up on the site before Chapter 5.

I had submitted Chapters 4, 5 and 6 all together (rookie mistake on my part) and the awesome editors on the site caught a small oversight on my part that I knew about from the rules.

I have since re-submitted it and Chapter 4 should be up there soon!

I am new to the site but I would like to say that I have had nothing but good things to say about how I have been treated here. I read some of the horror stories in the other threads but so far I haven't had a bad thing to say! (Let's not start now! LOL)

Thanks to all for their feedback and I hope you all enjoy reading my stories as I do writing them

Thanks again,

Outback

Welcome Outback69

Guess the regulars are struggling with their NaNo counts to notice an AH newbie, but they will, with all the usual caveats.

Just go with the flow. ;)

Here's one who have time to say hi.

Hiyah Outback, welcome to the looney bin.

Lo friend

Welcome Outback and what a grand entry with a story posted, well done.:D Shame about the mix up with the chapters, but it will pan out.

I am also a Nano-ite, you may ask if you wish, but you may regret it:D basically we're all from another planet, well some of us are more sort of away with the fairies.:D Others a few chapters short of a novel;)

Welcome Outback!

Another here with a couple of minutes to spare to welcome you. ;)

Dear OB,

I thought Durt Girl had requistioned all the ewes until the first of the year? *confuzzled*

Ps. Oh, yes, my point. Welcome and good luck. *grin*

Outback69,

Welcome on board, newbie. Now that the NaNo zombies have greeted you, I'll give you the down and dirty.

First of all, "Anna's Magic" is a well-writing piece of prose. And while that's MHO, the fact it's already earned a "H" shows other folks share my opinion. But it's important that you include a link with your messages. All it takes is a cut-n-paste. In case you've eaten all your paste and sniffed all your glue, here is the URL Anna's Magic

Second of all, don't ever ask the question MathGirl has already answered. Trust me on that one.

Third of all, don't ever refer to a certain female-type Swedish member of the group as, "Sven." That usually only happens once.

Fourth of all, Weird Harold is always right.

Fifth of all, so is KillerMuffin.

Sixth of all, don't mention sheep.

I'm sure others will add to this list. But it'll get you started on the yellow brick road (#7. Don't ask why the bricks are yellow.) to AH happiness.

Whisper ...

There you have the trouble with the Internet. It is so easy to get *confuzzled* by responses that seem to make sense.

I wondered if a couple of ewes had been held back from DurtGurl's requisition, so I checked for one or two ewes.

The first response was for sheep, two ewes - :)

The next was the rock group, U2 -

The last response was Francis Gary Powers, from the 1962 U2 Incident - :(

This sort of tribulation can be very *confuzzling* indeed!

Dear Outback,
Do you, perchance, know anything about:
1. garderobes
2. transvestite singing cowboys
If so, we can really use someone like you around here.
MG
Ps. Is it true that the guys in U2 were sheep fuckers? Lots of that goes on with them micks, you know.
Pps. Was FG Powers a sheep fucker? You never know, with people like that.

Math,

F. Gary Powers was an aviator.

He flew very high over Russia during the Cold War, in an American effort to determine whether the Russians had developed the same procedure for handling Soviet ewe, too.

It turned out ""Baa-aaa-aad!" :(

Dear Quaz,
I needed that information baaaaaadly.
MG
That FGPowers, of course, couldn't have been the same one who was killed in an aircraft crash while working as a traffic spotter for an LA TV station.
MG
Ps. Yes. Eidetic.

Um, thanks for the warm welcome all

Not too sure what my take is on the NaNo's but I welcome any constructive critism about my work for everyone

Rumple, thanks for the tip on the link to my stories. I promise I won't mention sheep - oh shit! I just did! Sorry

Mathgirl, I do believe that the movie 'Urban Cowboy' was about a singing transvestite cowboy. Or was that 'Rhinestone Cowboy'?

To the rest a very warm thank you once again.

Dear OB,
No, there was nary a garter belt or thong worn in those movies. You may be thinking of the 50s Lash Larue film, "Stud Buckaroos in Leather Chaps."
MG
Ps. I'm sure Quaz would know about that.

Sorry mate, but you won't have much joy getting any kind of constructive criticism from us NaNo's this month. Heck, we haven't even got time to cast a critical eye over our own work. But, after November we'll all have loads of free time again (yeah, right!), and some of us might well give your work a read then.

FYI, the term 'NaNo' does not mean we are a wierd breed of humanoid, although that could be debatable, it merely means we are taking part in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). Our mission is to write a 50,000 word novel between 1st and 30th of November. We are halfway through now, time-wise, and we are all thoroughly enjoying it.

Oh, it's still not too late to join us, btw *wicked grin* j/k. :D
