Good Grief! Someone actually took DurtGurl's story seriously. That, to me, is really scary.

Doubt it. DG and I get lots of feedback. After a while, you can sort of tell.

M&D Gurls: It read like a parody comment to me, but who knows. I can also believe it's serious.

I recently rec'd a PM re. an utterly obvious fictional thread I'm writing asking if it was "really true". I wrote back and asked their age.

Perhaps some time your worst crit-comments could makeup a thread of sorts.

I'd be a little suspicious of that feedback. He could be kidding. He spells too well.

However, I have no doubt as to the seriousness of the other feedback I've seen on the story.

And Perdita, it's not a matter of 'not letting the bastards get you down'. It's a matter of finding out that all these people are bastards in the first place, and rock-solid stupid bastards at that.

I'll tell you, the feedback has discouraged the hell out of me. I've really lost all desire to post any more stories. I think I'll just hang out on the Feedback board and criticize everyone else. So much easier being the hammer than the nail.

Dr. M: you can nail me. Or mail. You must keep writing. All true artists only write for a handful of readers, besides themselves. So now you finally know the majority are bastard-scum. Leave them to themselves and ignore them if they are only themselves when they criticize. It's survival at its best.

Write for you and me. Try it.
