Hey folks,
I'm looking for a couple of beta readers for a project I intend to release by the end of the week, it's part of my epic fantasy series called the Dragon (S)Layers but is kind of its own self-contained thing. It's a take off of my (in progress) volume 4 involving a blind woman who is selected by the goddess of pleasure to become Her paladin. Whether she likes it or not.
In the story they'll go on an adventure where the goddess forces her to confront her fears and loneliness to become a powerful champion of hedonism and fulfillment, and showing the poor woman that what she thinks she knows about her patron might not be entirely accurate.
The piece I'm looking for feedback on is the first 25% of the novella, around 6,000 words and doesn't contain much of any smut but sets up the conflict and ends on the inciting incident. It's meant to be read from a cold start with no previous knowledge of the world or characters but if you're a fan of my series, you'll already be (at least passively) familiar with the characters.
When the novella is done I'll be passing out some free copies of it (in pdf form) to my betas, so if that's your thing I'd love to hear from you, just shoot me a PM or post your thoughts below. I have very thick skin but I'm interested in constructive feedback so I can improve the work and my skills.

Accessibility (Without setup, do you feel you have a grasp on what's going on? If not where did I fall short?)
Characterization (are people interesting and engaging?)
Curiosity (Does this make you curious to read more?)
Readability (Did you get hung up anywhere or did anything strike you as particularly wonky?)
