Feedback for story in progress

Greetings!

I've been reading stories on Lit for a few years, and I even once started to write a story, but RL delays made me lose interest in that one.

I've decided to try again, this time writing out a fictional account of a recurring fantasy of mine. I think I'm doing well, but ... I'm not sure, so I want to know how to get feedback now, in a partially written story, so that if I need to totally change my writing style or direction or whatever, I can do it before I've finished (less disappointing for me to find out now than later).

I apologize if this is the wrong forum to post this in (I checked out the Authors forum too, but decided to ask here first).
Anyhow, is it possible to get feedback for my partially written story in some way? I also checked out the volunteer editor section, but got the feeling I should only contact them with complete stories.

What kind of story is it? What themes? I think that would help us.

Another thing you might consider is offering your story up for discussion in the Story Discussion Circle forum. It need not be posted on Lit. or even complete, but if you're looking for in depth critique you'll find a lot of good people willing to help you out. The only thing you have to do in return is critique two or more stories that have already been posted for discussion there. It's a give and take relationship. If you have questions you can PM Pure (kind of the defacto leader of the group) or myself.

That said, you will likely find some takers here as well, but I think it would help if you gave us an idea of what the story is about.

Sorry, I thought of that after I hit the submit button.

I'm not certain which category it would fit best in once it is finished ... It could be considered tame BSDM or nonconsent/reluctance, or it might fit better in group sex, or anal ... I'm not certain. The characters are all over 35, so mature might fit too. (I'm so good at making decisions, heh).

As it stands now in its unfinished state ... if there is a c---tease category, it should go there It is mostly intro/buildup, the only sex thus far being a blowjob.

I had looked at the story discussion board, but it specifically stated completed stories too. Perhaps if there is no response here, I will PM Pure as you suggested.

Your story does not have to be complete for the SDC. I can say that with confidence. It's always hard putting yourself out there for comment by other authors, but it can be EXTREMELY helpful to get a wide range of varying opinons.

Your story sounds intrigueing to me.

I believe Pure coordinates the Grassroots Discussion series (at the SDC) for stories that are not yet polished, posted, or even finished.
