Federal law enforcement officials on Thursday arrested a man in Washington they call a “ringleader” in the recent attempt to destroy the Andrew Jackson statue in Lafayette Square near the White House.

Law enforcement sources tell Fox News that Jason Charter was arrested at his residence Thursday morning, without incident, and charged with destruction of federal property. He was arrested by the FBI and U.S. Park Police as part of a joint task force.

These sources add that Charter has connections to Antifa and was in a leadership role on the night of June 22 when a large group of protesters tried to pull down the statue.

I don't think he did it "cause statues and ideology", he did it to stop the mayhem from escalating.'
First CHAZ, now statues, the next expected step could well be for them to start occupying institutions.

However, I agree with it provided that it's used as a deterrent, and implemented ONLY to those who organized the attempted coup d'etat.

To me it's both unclear at this point, and also fascinating to try to figure out what Trump's motivations are:

Because the riots keep escalating dangerously. And governors and Police have been inept or refused to implement the already existing laws against destruction of public or private property.

Or it might have been driven by ideology,

Well, I just forgot that Jackson had already become a father at age 9 when the Declaration of Independence was signed. The Founding Fathers club needs to include all white men who were fathers then and during the subsequent development of the U.S. Constitution. You can find Andrew Jackson's signature on both documents.
