Looks like Brandon won’t be posting here for a while

CNN —
A federal judge on Tuesday ordered some Biden administration agencies and top officials not to communicate with social media companies about certain content, handing a win to GOP states in a lawsuit accusing the government of going too far in its effort to combat Covid-19 disinformation.

In a preliminary injunction issued by US District Judge Terry Doughty, the judge ordered a slew of federal agencies and more than a dozen top officials not to communicate with social media companies about taking down “content containing protected free speech” that’s posted on the platforms.

The rot is too deep. Google will still censor and filter according to the established gov preferences.

Useful idiots all of 'em.

It's obvious the judge has a dislike for the kind of Fascism he sees being employed by the Feds.

The court has upheld the right to have lies fed to you.

We mustn't have the government involved in that truth nonsense.

They're called back channels for a reason.

Are social media moguls therefore banned from the Georgetown cocktail circuit?

I think the unconstitutionality of a lot of the covid restrictions will be fleshed out in the after-action lawsuits.

But, the judge didn't say that they had to stop colluding with the MSM to enforce censorship.

That would violate the First Amendment Freedom of the Press.

Much of it already has. The Missouri vs. Biden case is big because it raises the legal question of whether government can use the cover of private business to censor views it dislikes. Could be a landmark.

So much of what we were told to be the "truth" turned out to be somewhat less than the truth.

Social media and alternate sources have the MSM and the government running scared, terrified even. They see that they are losing control of the 'official' narratives. Too bad for them.

And people, some present company included, who tried to point that out were accused of killing off the Left, or killing off themselves, or killing off the vaccinated, or killing off the masked, or killing minorities, women, BABIES!!!

The discovery process in this case promises to be enlightening. We’ve already learned a lot from the Twitter Files. Now the lights will shine in a court of law.

The plaintiffs, which include the states of Missouri and Louisiana along with individual epidemiologists such as Jay Bhattacharya and Martin Kulldorff are represented by the New Civil Liberties Alliance. The CEO of the NCLA notes that “Judge Doughty could have dismissed the case without an opportunity for discovery, as another judge did in another NCLA case, Changizi v. HHS, involving the same sort of censorship. Judge Doughty understood, however, that a largely secret censorship system can’t be evaluated under the First Amendment until after discovery.”

I thought that the Free Speech Leftists here would have been all over this one.

Their silence speaks volumes especially after the way they screamed about Musk.
