fears of a newbie

Well im new here and can say at first i thought it was fun in here then it started getting scary..If i spell a word wrong im in fear of being crucified for it..If i dont have something witty or clever to say at a thread then im doomed to become a wall flower..If i become a wall flower whats the point in all of this..It seems there are about a dozen or so people in here that are respected and well thought of if i get on one of there shit list am i doomed to post at the how to board or the a.p .board..This is my first thread i have posted and i fear im already making a bad first impression..Now im rereading everything i wrote to make sure my spelling is correct..I cant help it i type fast and hit an extra key once in a while sue me..I read the thread with MM and BR that is scary to think you can make friends here and have it end in such a bad way ..Well enuff of my rambling ..Living in fear but not going anywhere...Happy Holidays all and a Happy NewYear!!!!

As for the BR thread, that's just best ignored until it quietly goes away. It was just a nice group of people behaving badly all over the place. We do that sometimes.

The only thing you should be afraid of is the addiction. Oh yes, there is a terrible addiction to the General Board that people get. There's a 12 step program available. Morning girl says they meet Thursdays a 9. I have to agree with MG, if you go to it, come back here and let us know what it was like. We're too busy posting.

awww, I'm sorry you feel that way. You shouldn't be scared to post. For the most part, everyone here is wonderful. I can't promise that you won't get flamed, everyone at one point or another gets flamed, its part of the board! I think cym or someone said, we actually like newbies...new points of view and such.

it's not about mis-spelling words, as much as intentionally doing it constantly. Also, keep in mind, that those "respected"/"well thought of" people here, are SOME people opinions of them, not everyone's opinion. This board is about opinions, yours, mine theirs, whatever.

Don't be afraid to post, it's JUST the internet, if you are offended by what people say, or worried they'll crucify you, then nothing anyone can say, will help you make the right decision.

What happened last night was a small and private joke between friends gone horribly awry. We all feel badly for the way it played out and I had no real idea what was going on until it was too late.
