Do you remember them? What was your favorite? I still have fond memories of watching Voltron, ThunderCats, Captian N: The Game Master, and The Mario Bro. Show (when they had that former wrestler as Mario). Damn - that all brings back memories...

I've killed so many brain cells, it's hard to remember. Superfriends of course... "Shape of... a dildo!.... Form of....K-Y"

Currently, X-Men, and Jackie Chan is surprisingly funny as well - never thought he could translate to a cartoon.

But the best cartoon of all time has GOT to be...... drum roll please.....

THE TICK!!!!
"Honk if you love justice!!!!!!"

Nice thread, BB!!

I watch Thundercats every week day morning. 6 o'clock my time to be exact. I watched Strawberry shortcake and GI Joe when I was a youngster.

My fav cartoon now is Jackie Chan. I watch him in the afternoons on the week days and on Saturday mornings.

transformers, smurfs, g.i. joe, care bears, super ted, tiny toons, anamaniacs, silverhawk, thundercats.....

I forgot about the Care Bears! I loved them, and for no known reason either.

I dont know if any of you watch the Cartoon Network channel, but when they play the "old" cartoons and you notice that hey those are the ones you watched as a kid...you feel really old.

Did anyone watch He-Man? I had a crush on that fella.

Hrm, I loved old cartoons, not too fond of many new ones. I dug the old D&D cartoon...one called Wildfire it seems no one else in this world remembers, HeMan/SheRa, Thundercats, GI Joe, the Wuzzles! hehe

My kind of question!

The Lord High God of All Cartoons...

Bugs Bunny!

Okay... I loved all the old Looney Tunes cartoons. Bugs is the King, though.

I used to love Batfink and Karate Kid (my wings are like shields of steel!), Marine Boy and also Secret Squirrel.

Recently, I've taken to watching CatDog - it's about this animal that is cat at one end and dog at the other. It's snortingly funny :D

I make my kids mad by asking how CatDog uses the bathroom...after long time trying to explain,I get "Moooom its just a cartoon!"

All time favorite - The Looney Tunes/Merry Melodies line up from Warner Bros. Once when I was VERY little...they did a song at the end - can't remember specifically, but the whole "cast" was singing a "goodbye" kind of thing - and I started crying because I listened to the lyrics for the first time, and assumed that they were never going to come back.....I was inconsolable. One of my FAVORITES in particular is "Feed The Kitty", directed by Chuck Jones. BIG bulldog (Marc Anthony) finds a tiny black kitten and befrends it, letting it ride on his back. He has to hide it from his owner (in hilarious ways) and ends up hiding it in the flour bin in the kitchen. Then she comes in and makes cookies. He sweats it out and cries, assuming the kitten's been cooked - and to console him, his owner gives him a cookie - shaped like a kitten. He cries harder and puts the cookie on his back - it's heartbreaking. The kitten turns out to be okay, though, and the dog gets to keep it.

#2 on the list would have to be Rocky and Bullwinkle (Fractured Fairy Tales rocks!). And George of the Jungle, not so much for George, but the attendant toons on the show (Super Chicken, Tom Slick, et. al.)

AND, lest we forget........Speed Racer. Jeez, what COULDN'T that car do?

LOL! You'll have to tell me about that cartoon sometime... I don't remember it. :D

Work work work... is that all you can think of? There are more important things! Like cartoons!:p

Have a great one, hon.

Way back in the day, enjoyed watching "Smurfs"......
"Snorks"...."Gummi Bears"......"Charlie Brown and
Snoopy Show".......oh yeah who can forget "Josie
and the Pussycats" and "Scooby Doo"?? :D

These days I get to see from time to time "Rugrats"! :)

Well from your era:

I enjoyed "Crazy Claws"...I thought of him as Groucho the Cat.

I think that the sound effects make the cartoon. Pink Panther, Tom & Jerry, and my favorite, Droopy, are the best examples.

What would a Road Runner cartoon be without sound?

Nice thread.:)

I forgot about Droopy!!!!! He's so awesome! :)
How can I forget "Tom and Jerry"? Watched that
one too!!
