Wht is your favorite piece of clothing? That piece that is comfortable, that is a part of you and who you are?

Mayb it's a hat, or a pair of shoes or boots. Maybe it's a special shirt or that pair of jeans. What is it?

Come on, spill people.

For me it is one of three things. I have a pair of beat to hell Tony Lama Boots. They are ten years old now, been resoled I don't know how many times and yet still manage to be down at heel. The second is a leather vest. Again it is more than a couple of years old, scarred and well worn. Hell I've sweat through it so many times only myself and the cats will get near it. The third is a beat up old straw Cowboy Hat that's been through more storms and sunshine I care to talk about. It just fits right.

I will play before bed: coats and jackets - leather and fur. :D Spikes and heels - never leave home without a half decent pair of heels I say ..

Cheers and night, night.

I've got an old, waist-length black leather jacket, one of those blazer types with the small pockets. It's got tears and scratches and some of the lining is ruined . . . but that's just like me. ;)

A zip-up hoodie I bought for $1 at Fashion Bug back when the store where I worked liked to randomly put me in the warehouse. It's too ugly to wear out, but it's the most comfortable thing I own. Other than that, I love my collection of red shoes. It's gotten to the point where coworkers ask what's going on if I don't wear red shoes at least once a week.

Don't know why, but I have an aversion to fleece . . . can't stand the way it feels against my fingers. Same with pure cotton.

But that jacket sure likes nice on you, McKenna :)

What?! You don't like fleece?! Blasphemer! ;) There are days I live in my fleecey.

Thank you for the compliment. :rose:

I have a dusky rose fine gauge knit sweater with a deep V neck and long sleeves that suits my coloring and my body perfectly. It's been my favorite for 10 years and has suffered a couple tiny snags but I keep nursing it along.

I have a basketball jersey leftover from college -- from the player I *cough* borrowed it from. It's huge on me. Comes almost to my knees -- and the arm holes to my waist.

So THAT's where it went!

Two things:

) A pair of deerskin ropers that I've owned for decades. The light color has been garnished with a dark stripe running up the inside - from my saddle, it's dark - and they're so worn I expect them to fall apart sooner rather than later. The leather is so soft, and worn so thin that I could sleep in them, and have. I have a new pair, but they're just not the same, so they stay in the closet.

2) A Polo pullover hoodie that my mother gave to butthead maybe five or six Christmases ago. He's never worn it, so I appropriated it a month or so after he got it. It's navy blue, been washed a kajillion times, so it's soft, and it's HUGE on me.

A London Fog jacket that I bought in 1967--dark blue--tough as a boot heel and it still sheds water.

I once left it in a restaurant on a trip and went back 120 miles to get it.

It's a damn fine jacket. :D

I'd have to say my old high school sweatshirt that I used to use for sports. Its getting old and my name that's on the back is starting to come off. The sleeves are getting ragged but I can't let it go.

A Penn State Sweat Shirt. People ask me if I went there. I grin and say no, then give them no further information. I wear it incessently. It's too big. It's worn out. It's ME. :D

I have two things...

1) A very large denim shirt...worn many times over the years. It was my fathers I took it out of my parents closet after he died and its gone everywhere with me since.

2) a strappy little black tank top that I love to wear, soft and flattering.

i had a pair of levis that i had since i was 15. i don't know how many times i patched the crotch and the ass of those jeans. i loved the hell out of them until they finally rotted at the seams and i had to toss them in the trash.

My ankle length black coat. I love it to pieces! The lining is in shreds but it's so comfy. :)

I've become quite fond of a hoodie a friend gave me last year. The message on it reads, "Of course I'm out of my mind. It's dark and scary in there.

Also fond of an old duster I got at a yard sale years ago. Makes me look very cyber-punkish.

My favourite is probably the sweat shirt with the tiger hand painted on it.

What's a duster?

Not sure if Rob's is anything like this, but a traditional duster is made to wear when you ride in bad weather - there's a split up the back so that the coat lies over your legs to protect them. Usually they're made out of oilcloth which makes them waterproof, but also heavy as hell (I have two: one black, one brown).
