I was curious, so I thought I'd start a new thread. What are your favorite holidays and why?

Looking to find out which one Litsters like the most.

No arguing in this thread, please. Drama is so much better when I can't see it.

I'll go first.

My favorite holiday is Christmas. Not because I get a lot of gifts, because I don't. And nkt just because of the religious connotations. My top reason for loving Christmas most is that, to me, people seem more friendly than they usually are.Oh, I know that if you cut them off in traffic or take that last toy that they needed to finish their shopping that they'll be pissed and let you know just how much they think about you. But, meet them in the park as you're walkin' in the cold; friendliest people you ever knew.

Another reason is that the music of Christmas is so cheerful. My favorite Christmas song is the Christmas Waltz.

October thru December it's one holiday after another. Did you ever notice how each one leads to the next amd each succeeding one is bigger r than the prior?

It's a no stress, just fun kind of holiday.

Top 3
1. Thanksgiving -- because Fall is my favorite season (family, food, colors, cooler weather, no stress of buying gifts like at Christmas)

2. Halloween -- because I love the silliness of it with the costumes and parties and such.

3. New Year's Eve -- because the atmosphere is so festive and the air is thick with the hope of new possibilities.

Halloween.

It's during my favorite season. I get to decorate my house in whatever form of crazy I want and its acceptable. Costumes! I can dress however the fuck I want for a day and not a soul will say anything or give a damn about it. Candy! Costume parties! Haunted houses- working in them and visiting them.
