Okay, I'm in a feel good Disney kinda mood...this is not to say that I don't feel all norti...just feel good!!!

So what's your favorite Disney Song?

Here's one of many of mine:

Cinderella

A dream is a wish your heart makes
When you're fast asleep
In dreams you lose your heartaches
Whatever you wish for, you keep

Have faith in your dreams and someday
Your rainbow will come smiling thru
No matter how your heart is grieving
If you keep on believing
the dream that you wish will come true

Okay...what's yours?

I like "Kiss the Girl" from the Little Mermaid. That, and the hula thing that Timon and Pumba to in "The Lion King". That one always gives me the giggles. :D

The Bare Necessities.

I even burned it on a cd and play it at work.:)

You gotta friend in me~~Randy Newman from Toy Story

You've got a friend in me
You've got a friend in me
When the road looks rough ahead
And you're miles and miles
From your nice warm bed
You just remember what your old pal said
Boy, you've got a friend in me
Yeah, you've got a friend in me

You've got a friend in me
You've got a friend in me
If you've got troubles, I've got 'em too
There isn't anything I wouldn't do for you
We stick together and can see it through
Cause you've got a friend in me
You've got a friend in me

Some other folks might be
A little bit smarter than I am
Bigger and stronger too
Maybe
But none of them will ever love you
The way I do, it's me and you
Boy, and as the years go by
Our friendship will never die
You're gonna see it's our destiny
You've got a friend in me
You've got a friend in me
You've got a friend in me

Look for the bare necessities
The simple bare necessities
Forget about your worries and your strife
I mean the bare necessities
Old Mother Nature's recipes
That brings the bare necessities of life

Wherever I wander, wherever I roam
I couldn't be fonder of my big home
The bees are buzzin' in the tree
To make some honey just for me
When you look under the rocks and plants
And take a glance at the fancy ants
Then maybe try a few

The bare necessities of life will come to you
They'll come to you!

Look for the bare necessities
The simple bare necessities
Forget about your worries and your strife
I mean the bare necessities
That's why a bear can rest at ease
With just the bare necessities of life

Now when you pick a pawpaw
Or a prickly pear
And you prick a raw paw
Next time beware
Don't pick the prickly pear by the paw
When you pick a pear
Try to use the claw
But you don't need to use the claw
When you pick a pear of the big pawpaw
Have I given you a clue ?

The bare necessities of life will come to you
They'll come to you!

So just try and relax, yeah cool it
Fall apart in my backyard
'Cause let me tell you something little britches
If you act like that bee acts, uh uh
You're working too hard

And don't spend your time lookin' around
For something you want that can't be found
When you find out you can live without it
And go along not thinkin' about it
I'll tell you something true

The bare necessities of life will come to you

That is one of my all time favorites. I'm also fond of "Let's get together" from The Parent Trap".

No surprise: The Little Mermaid

~*Under the Sea*~

The seaweed is always greener
In somebody else's lake
You dream about going up there
But that is a big mistake
Just look at the world around you
Right here on the ocean floor
Such wonderful things surround you
What more is you lookin' for?

Under the sea
Under the sea
Darling it's better
Down where it's wetter
Take it from me
Up on the shore they work all day
Out in the sun they slave away
While we devotin'
Full time to floatin'
Under the sea

Down here all the fish is happy
As off through the waves they roll
The fish on the land ain't happy
They sad 'cause they in their bowl
But fish in the bowl is lucky
They in for a worser fate
One day when the boss get hungry
Guess who's gon' be on the plate

Under the sea
Under the sea
Nobody beat us
Fry us and eat us
In fricassee
We what the land folks loves to cook
Under the sea we off the hook
We got no troubles
Life is the bubbles
Under the sea
Under the sea
Since life is sweet here
We got the beat here
Naturally
Even the sturgeon an' the ray
They get the urge 'n' start to play
We got the spirit
You got to hear it
Under the sea

The newt play the flute
The carp play the harp
The plaice play the bass
And they soundin' sharp
The bass play the brass
The chub play the tub
The fluke is the duke of soul
(Yeah)
The ray he can play
The lings on the strings
The trout rockin' out
The blackfish she sings
The smelt and the sprat
They know where it's at
An' oh that blowfish blow

Under the sea
Under the sea
When the sardine
Begin the beguine
It's music to me
What do they got? A lot of sand
We got a hot crustacean band
Each little clam here
know how to jam here
Under the sea
Each little slug here
Cuttin' a rug here
Under the sea
Each little snail here
Know how to wail here
That's why it's hotter
Under the water
Ya we in luck here
Down in the muck here
Under the sea

~*Part of Your World*~

Look at this stuff
Isn't it neat?
Wouldn't you think my collection's complete?
Wouldn't you think I'm the girl
The girl who has ev'rything?
Look at this trove
Treasures untold
How many wonders can one cavern hold?
Lookin' around here you'd think
(Sure) she's got everything

I've got gadgets and gizmos aplenty
I've got whozits and whatzits galore
(You want thingamabobs?
I got twenty)
But who cares?
No big deal
I want more

I wanna be where the people are
I wanna see
Wanna see 'em dancin'
Walkin' around on those
(Whad'ya call 'em?) oh - feet
Flippin' your fins you don't get too far
Legs are required for jumpin', dancin'
Strollin' along down a
(What's that word again?) street

Up where they walk
Up where they run
Up where they stay all day in the sun
Wanderin' free
Wish I could be
Part of that world

What would I give
If I could live
Outta these waters?
What would I pay
To spend a day
Warm on the sand?
Betcha on land
They understand
Bet they don't reprimand their daughters
Bright young women
Sick o' swimmin'
Ready to stand

And ready to know what the people know
Ask 'em my questions
And get some answers
What's a fire and why does it
(What's the word?) burn?

When's it my turn?
Wouldn't I love
Love to explore that shore above?
Out of the sea
Wish I could be
Part of that world

I love disney songs. I think we must have all the videos, and my kids have watched them a gazillion times. My favorites include:

Little Mermaid: Part of My World;
Alladin: A Whole New World;
Hercules: Go the Distance;
Lion King: Just Can't Wait to be King.

The Suzanne Vega version of Stay Awake and the Tom Waits version of Heigh Ho (The Dwarfs Marching Song). Both on the Stay Awake album from A & M. Delightfully odd versions of the all-too-sweet Disney Songs.

Having said that, I am also fond of most of the music from Tarzan.

Why should I worry From "Oliver and Company"

One minute I'm in Central Park
Then I'm down on Delancey Street
From the Bow'ry to St Marks
There's a syncopated beat

Whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo
I'm streetwise
I can improvise
Whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo
I'm streetsmart
I've got New York City heart

Why should I worry?
Why should I care?
I may not have a dime
But I got street savoir faire

Why should I worry?
Why should I care?
It's just bebopulation
And I got street savoir faire
The rhythm of the city
But once you get it down
Then you can own this town
You can wear the crown

Why should I worry?
Why should I care?
I may not have a dime
But I got street savoir faire

Why should I worry?
Why should I care?
It's just bebopulation
And I got street saviore faire
Ev'rything goes
Ev'rything fits
They love me at the Chelsea
They adore me at the Ritz

Why should I worry?
Why should I care?
And even when I cross that line
I got street savoir faire

Beauty and the Beast

Tale as old as time
True as it can be
Barely even friends
Then somebody bends
Unexpectedly
Just a little change
Small to say the least
Both a little scared
Neither one prepared
Beauty and the Beast

Ever just the same
Ever a surprise
Ever as before
Ever just as sure
As the sun will rise

Tale as old as time
Tune as old as song
Bittersweet and strange
Finding you can change
Learning you were wrong
Certain as the sun
Rising in the east
Tale as old as time
Song as old as rhyme
Beauty and the Beast

Tale as old as time
Song as old as rhyme
Beauty and the Beast

Little Mermaid: Part of My World (see Summery's Post)

A Whole New World From "Aladdin"

words and music by Alan Menken and Tim Rice

I can show you the world
Shining, shimering, splendid
Tell me princess, now when did you last let your heart decide
I can open your eyes
Take you wonder by wonder
Over, sideways and under
On a magic carpet ride

A whole new world
A new fantastic point of view
No one to tell us no
Or where to go
Or say we're only dreaming

A whole new world
A dazzling place I never knew
But now from way up here
It's crystal clear
That now I'm in a whole new world with you
Now I'm in a whole new world with you

Unbelievable sights
Indescribable feeling
Soaring, tumbling, freewheeling
Through an endless diamond sky

A whole new world
Don't you dare close your eyes
A hundred thousand things to see
Hold your breath it's gets better
I'm like a shooting star
I've come so far
I can't go back to where I used to be
Every turn a surprise
With new horizons to pursue
Every moment red letter
I'll chase them anywhere
There's time to spare
Let me share this whole new world with you

A whole new world
That's where we'll be
A thrilling chase
A wondrous place
For you and me

Go the Distance From "Hercules"
Lyrics and Music by Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz

I have often dreamed of a far off place
Where a great warm welcome will be waiting for me.
Where the crowds will cheer when they see my face
And a voice keeps saying this is where I'm meant to be.

I will find my way, I can go the distance!
I'll be there someday- If I can be strong!
I know every mile will be worth my while.
I would go most anywhere to feel like I belong.

I am on my way - I can go the distance!
I don't care how far - Somehow I'll be strong.
I know ev'ry mile will be worth my while
I would go most anywhere to find where I belong

I just can't wait to be King From "The Lion King"
Msic and Lyrics by Hans Zimmer and Tim Rice

I'm gonna be a mighty king
So enemies beware!
[Zazu:] Well I've never seen a king of beasts
With quite so little hair!
[Simba:] I'm gonna be the mane event
Like no king was before
I'm brushing up on looking down
I'm working on my roar!!!
[Zazu:] Thus far, a rather uninspiring thing
[Simba:] Oh, I just can't wait to be king!

[Simba:] No one saying do this
[Nala:] No one saying be there
[Simba:] No one saying stop that!
[Nala:] No one saying see here
[Simba:] Free to run around all day
Free to do it my way!

[Zazu:] I think it's time that you and I
Arranged a heart to heart
[Simba] Kings don't need advice
From little hornbills for a start
[Zazu:] If this is where the monarchy is headed
Count me out
Out of service, out of Africa
I wouldn't hang about!
This child is getting wildly out of wing.
[Simba:]
Oh, I just can't wait to be king

Everybody look left
Everybody look right
Everywhere you look I'm
Standing in the spotlight
[Zazu:] Not yet!!!
[Animals:] Let every creature go for broke and sing
Let's hear it in the herd and on the wing
It's gonna be King Simba's finest fling
[Simba:]
Oh, I just can't wait to be king!
Oh, I just can't wait to be king!
Oh, I just can't wait to be king!

Oooh neat...I've got to get that.

We had to buy the Tarzan soundtrack. We have to let all the credits run after the movie is over so my daughter can sing to every single song that is played.

I assume that you all aren't typing in all these lyrics, so my question is: where do you find them? My 11 year old is a singer. Is there a site to get lyrics?

Brush Brush Bree, Brush Brush Broo from Bear in the Big Blue House!

My favorite thing about brushing my teeth is:
Shugga shugga shugga shugga shugga shugga shugga shugga shugga shugga sgugga shugga
Pffffffffftttttttt!!!!!!

But there's way too many to list...

Cruella Devil From "101 Dalmatians"
Music and Lyrics by George Bruns and Mel Leven

(Intro)
At first you think Cruella is a devil
After time has worn away the shock
You come to realize, You've seen her kind of eyes
watching you from underneath a rock
This vampire bat, this skins human beast
She should be locked up and never released
The world was such a holesome place until
Cruella, Cruella Deville

When I feel my toes start to twitch
My lips go "La-La-La-La-La-La"
And my arms and legs
get the itch
It's time to do the Bear
Cha-Cha-Cha!

Cha-Cha-Cha!
Ha-Cha-Cha!

You're an honorary bear!
All other: Yay!!

When You Wish Upon a Star ... was the Pinnochio?

When You Wish Upon a Star From "Pinocchio"
words and music by Leigh Harline and Ned Washington

When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires
Will come to you

If your heart is in your dream
No request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star
As dreamers do

Like a bolt out of the blue
Fate steps in and sees you through
When you wish upon a star
Your dreams come true

My partner in erotic crime's got your other one :D

Beauty and the Beast

"Be Our Guest"

Be our guest
Be our guest
Put our service to the test
Tie a napkin round your neck, cherie
And we prepare the rest
Soupe du jour, hot hors d'oeuvres
Why we only live to serve
Try the grey stuff, it's delicious
Don't believe me ask the dishes
They can sing
They can dance
After all miss, this is France
And a dinner here is never second best
Go on unfold your menu
Take a glance and then
You'll be our guest
Oui our guest
Be our guest

Beef ragout, cheese souffle
Pie and pudding en flambe
We'll prepare and serve with flair
A culinary cabaret
You're alone
And you're scared
But the banquet's all prepared
No one's gloomy or complaining
While the flatware's entertaining
We tell jokes
I do tricks
With my fellow candlesticks
Come on lift your glass
You've won your own free pass
To be our guest
If you're stressed
It's fine dining we suggest
Be our guest
Be our guest
Be our guest
