This time of year always reminds me of my favorite Beatle, John. The night he was murdered, the Christmas tree lights were lit at Rockefeller Center, and I'll forever be reminded of that night while enjoying the holiday lights of the City. Now with George gone from this world, and hearing their music, I'm curious to know who everyone's favorite Beatle was.

lol

It's Sunday, and the Beatle things are still all over the radio stations I listen to...On one they do a Beatle show from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., and they never play solo material, but today they did...

Does anyone else remember when Billy Preston was called the 5th Beatle?
*Hmmm... better shut up...I am dating myself again.**

Yeah, how come Billy isn't a choice on the poll? Too black, too strong, that's why!

I think Billy would out-poll Ringo.;)

Words are flowing out like endless rain into a papercup,
they slither while they pass, they make their way across the universe.

I am sort of a second generation Beatle fan. They arrived in America the year I was born. Through my older siblings' influence, I latched on to their music and have every one of their US albums (vinyl).

Growing up, my favorite was John. Paul's Wings stuff grabbed my attention. George has lots of great post-Beatles songs. I saw Ringo in concert last year.

My favorite now?? All four.

It was like deja vou hearing of George's death when I woke up on the radio -- felt eerily familiar in that it was similar to the way I heard about John.

Anyway, all things must pass.

RIP George

I was reading an Article about how George was buried. He died at 1:30pm Thursday. By 8:30 pm he was cremated and buried. the man was buried before the world knew he was dead.

Only his familly was at the service. No hollywood glitz at all.

BTW Tonights episode of the simpsons was dedicated to his memory.

I love the Beatles as a whole....but I picked Paul because
he is a musical genius....and still is making the music
today!

Again, dating myself, I stuck with the first four that I was aware of back in the 60s. I was fortunate to see Billy P when he was introduced by Ray Charles at the Steel Pier in Atlantic City, New Jersey long before his association with the latter-year Beatles. He was awesome even then!

Thanks to you all for posting. Yeah, "what is life"?

Glad to hear that, he probably wanted it that way anyway. I loved him more than the other Beatles and I especially loved him as a member of The Traveling Wilburys.
