uhh fast and the furious blew if you knew anything about cars of the real street racing scene.

Pearl harbor ehh have not seen it yet but have not hear good things.

LOTR is my number on pick and I have not even seen it yet.

Almost Famous

Have seen the first 30-45 mins of Shrek about 5 times, before I finally gave up. One day though, I'll sit down and watch the whole thing, as I liked very much what little bit I saw of it.

Missed this year at the movies...

So, I'll mention the ones I saw for the first time on HBO (or equivalent) in 2001:

"Girl, Interrupted";
"Almost Famous"; and
"Finding Forrester".

Depends on the person. Haven't seen it myself, but I have a cousin that's a street racer and he loved that movie. Him and several of his friends actually went to see the movie together one night and then raced afterwards.

There were some good movies this year, and there were a few I've missed out on seeing. Still have yet to see Lord of the Rings, but so far my favorite movie of the year was Shrek. It was a great mix of humor, fantasy, and even romance. And the karaoke scene at the end of the video release just makes it funnier.

I loved O Brother Where Art Thou also. It also has a great soundtrack.

I don't think I saw all that many movies this year, at least, not in the theater, so most of my favorite movies are probably from last year.

I did like 2000 Miles to Graceland, but mostly because it was enjoyable to see Kurt Russell as good guy and Kevin Costner as token Psycho.

Finding Forrester was excellent. I just saw that the other night.

For entertainmentpurpose, LOTR's blew EVERYTHING out of the water. As for Oscar Caliber stuff, "Hearts IN Atlantis" is my nod for Best Picture. Shrek was a awesome. btw, I don't wanna be picky, but, Almost Famous was last year.:p

The cars were incredibly unrealistic. No import on earth is that fast yet still be streetable. I buddy of mine at work used to street race a sub 8 second 69 camaro. He carried it around on a trailer to all his races.

I guess if you are really into the import scene it was a good movie. Most of the imports make me sick cause they look like such crap but everyonce in a while i see one i like.

My favorites are:

"Hearts in Atlantis"
"O Brother Where Art Thou"
"Pearl Harbor"

Fast and the Furious

I guess since you obvioulsy know more about street racing then I do then you would see the flaws in the movie. Honeslty I can say I know nothing of street racing just thought it was a great action packed movie! With a great story line! But thanks for sharing!
