This morning when I was taking my son to school they were having a discussion about what was the all time favorite cartoon show. Today is The Flintstones 43rd birthday/anniversary, whatever....

Let's see how many different cartoon shows that we can get here.

What is your favorite all time cartoon.

One of mine was Yogi Bear

Pick one are you nuts? Are you looney? Are you tooney? Should you be with the tiny toons? How can we pick just one?

Let's see some that quickly come to mind...

Well I used to watch the Bugs Bunny and Road runner show (3 hours of WB toons) AWESOME!

Bugs, Tweety, Road Runner, Foghorn Leghorn, probably any where the "Bad ole putty tat (or whatever else it was) got beat up for trying to be bad. (so I am a good person, sue me.)

Had to love Taz, that much focus on eating. Good old Senior Droopey from Guatalupe - Quiet but came through in the end.

More recently I also like the Tiny Toons.

For episode based shows, Scooby Doo (without Scrappy) and definately Yogi Bear.

More recent episode based shows, Sponge Bob Square Pants.

Others I considered but would not put at the top of my list:
Popeye
Flintstones
Justice Leagure of America

(haven't seen these that much)
Dexter's Lab
Samuraii Jack
South Park
Power Puff Girls

Definately in the least liked category:
Beavis and Butthead.

How's that?
Buggy

these are all great. Some were on there this morning, some not.

They were saying that the Hanna-Barbera and the Looney Tunes were the most popular. Disney cartoons didn't do well at all.

here are a few more:

Speedy Gonzales, Johnny Quest, Speed Racer.

great one, that one wasn't named this morning but I loved him. Wile E. Coyote just never wised up!

Actually I have heard rumors that one time he did actually catch the Road Runner and he actually let him go. A second source said it was because he had shrunk to approximately a quarter of the size of Road Runner.

!Ay Caramba! How could I forget Speedy. I musts be getting Loco in my old age.

Speed racer was also a favorite of mine, but it has been a long time.

The Animaniacs......Steven Speilberg's they were really cute too!

Can't forget the Jetson's. You know we all thought that some of the things on there were funny but not real. Now look at all the threadmills and microwaves,etc....I still want Rosie!

it is probably really wrong of me, but i hate jerry.
he is such an antagonistic little rat.
he was the cause of all of tom's woes.

the older ones were a lot better tho.

and i'm addicted to ed, edd & eddy.
even if they are retarded.

he did catch the roadrunner once and did let him go--I saw it. I love all the "Acme" devices that the coyote would come up with! I love all the ones mentioned...let me add a few:

Fantastic Four
Dudley Do-Right
Rocky & Bullwinkle

Here's a few more...

Underdog
Quick Draw McGraw
Rhode Island Red
Touche' Turtle
Riccochet Rabbit
Muttley

I wqas reading today about cartoons today, too but it was a little different. Author wondered with all the money roadrunner spent on ACME gadgets why he didnt just order dinner.

Today cartoons
I really like the simpsons and the family guy.Sometimes they are so off the wall, they're hilarious.
Thinking of older cartoons, like everyone else, there are just too many good ones to mention.Loved them all,my parents didnt have to worry where to find me saturday mornings. Then, during the week, my friends, the banana splits kept me company with great cartoons.

Does anyone remember the dog who when given a dog treat would float in the air and be in complete ecstacy?? Ive been trying to remember his name forever!!

I bet Kaylee, I know I didn't spell her name right, doesn't like Rocky and Bullwinkle!!!! ;)

What was the one with Penelope Pitstop and Dastardly Dick and Muttley were always kidnapping her?

Oh I remember one, and I don't think it did well in the movies, Dudley Do Right.

Underdog.

When criminals in this world appear,
And break the laws that they should fear,
And frighten all who see or hear,
The call goes up both far and near,
For Underdog! Underdog! Underdog! Underdog!

Speed of lightning, roar of thunder,
Fighting all who rob or plunder,

Underdog. Underdog!

When in this world the headlines read,
Of those whose hearts are filled with greed,
Who rob and steal from those who need,
To right this wrong with blinding speed,
Goes Underdog! Underdog! Underdog! Underdog!

Speed of lightning, roar of thunder,
Fighting all who rob or plunder,
Underdog. Underdog!

When I was single and dated younger girls, I would always ask if they knew who Underdog was, if not, I would not date them...generational gap was way to big...lol

I think that is a great idea! This morning when they were discussing the cartoons and I was naming some of them, my son didn't know who they were and I was shocked, how could he not know these classic cartoons, or as he referred to them, that must be some old ones!

That's true Oman, our parents could sleep and know that we were not burning down the house or out in the streets getting in trouble because we were in the living room in front of the tv with our favorite babysitter! Those were the good old days. We were a bit of a couch potatoes at time but we also went outside and ran and played and used our imaginations!!!! Kids today can't seem to do that, they have to have entertainment that would bankrupt Bill Gates!

Was it Wacky Racers? and they had that family of short guys that would create a human ladder and all kinds of things like that! Goes to show short ppl have great imaginations! :D

I believe you

are refering to "The Perils of Penelope Pitstop"

My all-time favorite....."Johnny Quest"...also loved "Underdog"

"There's no need to fear...UNDERDOG is here"

Let's see....

"Huckleberry Hound" good ole southern boy he was.

Of the newer ones I watch with my son...

I like "Sponge Bob" and I have to say I like "Ed, Edd and Eddy" so freakin bizzare that one is.

yeah that's it! I like Johnny Quest also, Reese was a real cutie. You know some of these cartoons you watch now and they are just as good as they always were. and some you watch and the technology and all that was so primitive, but yet it worked.

Do you think Bugs Bunny was Canadian? He was always saying,
"Eh, What's up doc?" hehe;)

I also like Yosemite Sam and Elmer Fudd, such a dense guy, but lovable. And of course, Porky the Pig!

And Deputy Dog, Huckleberry Hound, Mighty Mouse.

I NEVER like the Smurfs, those stupid little blue things!!!!

And one that I always watched on Sunday, if we were not in church, was David and Goliath it was sponsored by a church and it was claymation and Goliath was the dog that talked on to the boy. It always had a moral to the story and taught kids something.

Also Grimm's Fairy Tale
