Before I even opened your post, I thought of Tapestry. One of my very first music purchases on cassette. I also have several copies of Bat Out of Hell by Meatloaf stashed on my shelf.

so the saying goes....Birds of a feather....

*I like your taste in music*

p.s. been missing you....where you been keeping your lovely self?

Bird and the Bee - retro-flavored bossa nova-tinged electro-pop music featuring Lowell George's (Little Feat) daughter. Lotta 3-part harmony and excellent songwriting.

William Shatner - 'Has Been' - produced and cowritten by Ben Folds. Don't laugh. These two CD's are definitely worth the money, but only if you like well-written songs and quirky production.

John Mayer's 'Continuum' is also nice, if only for the grooves.

Heard that Fleetwood Mac song on the radio today, featuring Christine McVee - "you made me a woman tonight". What a fucking gorgeous song. Now I have to go get drunk. Thanks a lot, Christine.

Okay, avoiding "greatest hits" albums, despite the fact that it makes it hard for some bands, esp. The Doors...

So many memories with everyone's favorites. Tapestry is being re-released. Kate Bush (running up that Hill); Imp - bless you for torch and Twang - sometimes I just have to listen to that and I'm so glad that Roy Orbison bequeathed Crying to her; Starrkers, do you mean this War of the Worlds

Jeff Wayne's 1978 concept album? Because if you are I think you're the only other person I've met who's even heard of it! I love it!
