father Bush's business ties

What...?

I just posted all that stuff because I thought Judicial Watch was a damned lousy source, and I marked the socialist one as such, but noted that it seemed accurate and readable. I knew about Daddy Bush's scented lobbying months ago, and I don't think it's any better an idea today than I thought it was then. I've grown accustomed to presidential relatives embarrassing the Prez (from Donald Nixon to Bush's S&L crook son/brother to Roger Clinton and Billy Carter), but I don't really expect ex-presidents to act like this.
That said, I was trying to point out - and some of you conservatives don't seem to have gotten the point - that the bin Laden company is highly respected (eh, so is Prudential and MetLife, and they fleece old folks in great numbers every five years). I hope the FBI is looking to see if any siblings are passing off to the bugger, but of course we can't ban this huge company any more than we can ban EarthLink because one of its founding board members got busted in the biggest Ponzi scheme in history and fleeced the chairman and thousands of other fellow Scientologists in the process. Calm down.

I do think the Caryle Group merits scrutiny by people who read.

As for encouraging the flaky individual who started this thread, who cares? I see that if KR sneezes, the thread dribbles on for days. If I see a good discussion brewing, I'll try to add a few pennies of consideration. WD can tell you that I confirmed his "flag burning teacher" thread a couple of days ago; I checked to see what the best local paper would have said, and I would certainly have posted if it said the story was fake, so I posted that it was true. This actually is a more important subject, even if the messenger is defective.

I suppose I should be irritated that you quote me and then go on to talk about people who fly into frothy rages...sort of implying I'm one of those people.

The whole partisan thing gets pretty old after a while. Trying to determine who is smearing who worse than who bores me.

But then again, I'm a satanist and controller of opressed women's minds, so just ignore what I say.

The same people who viciously lambasted Clinton during Kosovo (and his entire 8 years in office) are now calling for "unity".
That's why W is walking on eggs now. As normalcy returns, and his numbers drop, those very unpopular positions are waiting to devour him. I actually think he likes being popular and may be having second thoughts about some of the GOP's dumber positions, like that capital gains tax cut to stimulate the economy. It will be most interesting to watch our cheerleader try to retain his support. I definitely like him more than I did a week/two weeks ago, mainly because he hasn't done anything stupid in quitye a while. I even gave him a "B" on Netscape's crisis poll, though I don't think he should be leaking that we have forces in Afghanistan....

The sad thing is that, if there are no more terrorist attacks, he won't get much credit for that. Which might be unfair, as it would reflect some implied success on his part. On the other hand, these schemes take years, so who knows?

Unity will only last as long as his policies are popular. The nationalist panic is over. The NYC candidate who stood up to Giuliani will probably win now....

Check Your Sources!!

Mr. Bush Sr. may be having business dealings with the Bin Laden family, but check it out, it may be the father instead of the son. Back in 1994 Osama Bin Laden was disowned by his father and exiled from his native country of Saudi Arabia for his ties to Saddam Hussein. I am not sure but I think Mr. Bush may be on the level with this one!!! If I am wrong I will be the first to admit it right here on this board.
