Father and Daughter... But Not

So the idea is an "incest" story where the Dad (41) and Daughter (19) are infatuated with each other, but never took the initiative to go further. For me, Daughter is the one who wants to go further while Dad is pushing back even though he wants to too.
Then the bombshell reveal, they aren't biological Father and Daughter! Mom had a one time affair and never told them. Now with this new revelation, Dad's desires for "his daughter" is unchained.

For the reveal, I'm thinking that the daughter wanted to get into the history of her ancestry and took a DNA test or something. She finds out that she's not related at all to her Dad and confronts Mom. She wants Mom to tell Dad the truth.

Thoughts? I don't think I've seen a story like this? Idk if it'll work because it'll be a story where you read about the father who's in turmoil with his feelings. His daughter is seducing and teasing him with her sexy young body and he wants to give in but doesn't want to because the taboo of incest. Then he essentially gets a cop out in the conclusion, "That's not my real daughter. I'm gonna fuck her now!" Idk would this be interesting?

TBH, I'm not sure Taboo traders will enjoy it as much if they aren't related.

How's this as a variation of your original idea -

Dad and daughter both feel deep attraction to each other, but never act on it. Don't want to damage marriage or break taboo.

Dad and Mum begin a nasty, bitter divorce.
Mum tells Dad (where Daughter can hear) that she's not his daughter. Mum leaves the city for a few weeks.

Both now free, Dad and Daughter get very lustful very quickly. Maybe even trying to get pregnant.

Mum a few weeks later comes back. Shocked at discovering Dad and Daughter together. They say they're doing nothing wrong.

Mum reveals that she lied, just to hurt her soon ex-husband. She was his biological daughter this whole time!

Yes, I thought so too, I felt like the reveal would kind of be a let down cause you're lead to believe in the beginning that they are Father and Daughter.
That being said, I love your idea! Bitter mom says things to spite her Husband. Which I feel any spouse would do. However, this has enhance Father and Daughter's feelings for each other and they have passionate sex!
However, maybe the mom doesn't catch them, cause that'll just end badly. She's already bitter about the divorce. I'm thinking mom calls like a day or so later after calming down and reveals the truth.
They are shocked and they look at each other, they've already done the act, multiple times. Then Dad's like, "Fuck it." and kisses his daughter and they have sex again! Now knowing the truth that they really are Father and Daughter, it just makes it that much more taboo and exciting!
