My stepfather is on a self-destructive free fall into an early grave. I've constantly warned him about what might happen to him if he doesn't change his lifestyle, but he doesn't seem to care.

They sit on their front porch all day long, yell at the kids running about in the yard and stare into my private life.

Something has changed.

A grown neighbor's daughter (who is living at home) came to tell me a horrible tale. She had to face the ex who broke her in court, that exact morning. Her worry grows as she sees her sister following in her footsteps.

They now have neighborly privilige to use my driveway.

It so sucks that I missed their reaction to the spraying of the bats.

I have learning disabilities/below-average intelligence and my potential in terms of work and education is very limited. I was in special education in high school.

It's very difficult to have a high-paying job or successful career without having a bachelors degree from an accredited university. I may not be intelligent enough for college-level academics.

Sure, I could go out and get a job, but what kind of job? Washing dishes? Cleaning toilets? Sweeping floors? Bagging groceries? Do you think I would make a high enough salary to afford an apartment with a part time job making minimum wage?

If I had a college degree, I might be able to start a career.

My means of transportation is also limited due to the fact that I do not have a drivers license. I'm afraid I might get myself or someone else injured/killed. I am in no mental state to be operating a motor vehicle. The buses don't run everywhere and obviously I'm not going to walk.

I am not lazy, I exercise and lift weights on a daily basis. I am 6'4 and under 200lbs and have an extremely muscular and athletic figure.

My mild intellectual/cognitive disabilities combined with the fact that I don't have a college degree is going to make life extremely difficult for me.

If I had average or superior intelligence, I would be able to go to a university and do just about anything I want.

Who cares if you bag groceries, you have to start somewhere. And you're making zero dinero whining about what you CAN'T do. Hmmm I vaguely remember the thread that you were going to walk for 50 miles in the desert or some such nutty idea...so clearly you CAN walk.

I don't have a college education so being successful in the work world is virtually impossible.

Someone with average/superior/gifted intelligence would be able to become anything that they want. Even a doctor or an engineer.

Keep in mind that I have mild cognitive disabilities and my education/occupational potential is restricted.

You're dead in the water without a BA from an accredited university. Most employers won't even interview you if you don't have one.
