Fantasy Island Chain Story Idea

I'm in, but I'm going to wait until my muse gives me at least a glimmer of an idea before I commit to a date, if that's all right. Sometime in early May, most likely.

Oh, all right. Let's give it a whirl.

I'll need a couple weeks to come up with my own story, but I do have an idea already brewing. So, let's say . . . April 6th as a tentative first posting date (my story), others to follow every Monday. So . . . .

April 13
April 20
April 27
etc.

(P.s. You think, if I get Tatu laid, his ghost will forgive me?)

I would volunteer for April 13th but I'm not exactly sure where you want to go with the chain.

I am familiar with the show. Visitors arrived by plane and went off to fulfill their Fantasy. Mr. Rourke and Tatu basically greeted them and sometimes popped up but were not key characters in the storyline.

My first story would be a softer story, probably something like a couple that have lost that "loving feeling" and come to Fantasy Island to reconnect. Would that fit into your idea?

If you have any further directions you wish to give other than what I have said, please let me know. And in the meantime, pencil me in for April 13th. Pencil in case you need to erase.

No, you've got the right of it. Each story stands alone, although I see no reason why we can't use recurring supporting characters (perhaps members of the resort itself). The scenario you suggested fits in, but remember that most of the episodes of FI were morality lessons. So, perhaps in your scenario, the couple want to spend a week living as their teenaged selves, which was when they first met. But then they find that they much rather prefer their older, more wrinkled bodies. Something like that.

Roarke always made it a practice to start off every fantasy with the guests. He also sometimes popped in, especially when a guest found themselves confused. Tatu would often come in once in a while as well, usually offering cryptic advice or such.

As of yet, we have me submitting the initial chapter on Apr. 6, with lindiana following on Apr. 13.
