Fantasy Collapse of Modern World?

I'm looking for a story about the mass majority of the human race having been swept away into other worlds, and random various monsters and such spawning in our world. The story focuses around the Main Character trying to get various people to start trying to actually survive and adapt to the world now being RPG style rather than the way it used to be. However, I can't seem to find it in the Sci-Fi Fantasy, or Novels and Novella categories where I thought it might be. Any and all help would be appreciated!
