"He's confusing us. He knows you would recognize his normal patterns, and decided to spice it up a little bit," she suggested.

"Should we be expecting orcs or bandits?" he asked. "I'm not even sure which would be worse at this point."

"Should probably expect both, especially low level bandits," Al'ika said. "And you're right, I'm not sure what would be worse."

"These new recruits are OK, but they haven't been around long enough to know who's new around here," he said. "We could have bandits and not even know it."

"You're probably right. I'll have Keth check identities and have Jester or Fenwick do the whole magicy thing."

Flish toasted to her. "Can you run things out of here for a while? I'm not exactly up to it right now."

"Just tired,' he said. "I've been burning it at both ends. Can you cook me something?" He sat down, holding his head.

"Let's see if food makes me better before jumping o conclusions," he said. "Chicken and biscuits sounds good."

"Alright," Al'ika said, kissing his forehead and going to make food for him. She set it down in front of him.

"Do you want me to get someone in for you? Jester and Fenwick won't be happy if I overdid things," she said, stroking his hair.

"Get Fenwick," he said. "He'll probably want to look me over. I just need you to chart out the information as it come in."

Al'ika sent a mental message to Father Hallowbrook, telling him to come in, and began to redo the charts that Flish had created.

Hallowbrook arrived and looked disapprovingly at Flish. "What did I tell you about overdoing it?" he said. Fish looked up from his half empty plate and muttered, "Not to do it,"

"He was in fighting shape up until now, " Hallowbrook said. "That will be rectified now." He had Flish get into his regular clothes and cast his magic on the armor.

"So, could you get my armor UNSPELLED?" Al'ika asked sweetly. She rubbed Flish's back. "Bad boy. On many levels."

"I'll tell Jester that as soon as you take your last dose, you can have it," he said. He turned to Flish. "In the meantime, you need to get into an actual bed and not sleep on a bar bench."
