"You can sleep whenever you're ready," he said. "I need to set my spells up." he formed his circle and began praying.

She smiled and remained awake, watching him.

An hour and a half later, he stood and turned around. "Let me guess, you want a bedtime buddy?

Issak climbed in behind her and brushed his bushy beard across her neck. "How's this?"

"Good," she said, smiling and snuggling into him.

"How was your day?" he asked.

"It was okay for being bedridden," she said. "Edioz told me about my mother, and a little bit more about my father."

"I'm surprised it took him this long," he said. "He told me and Jep about adventuring a while ago, but I felt it was his story to tell you when he felt you were ready."

"Thanks, Issak, I appreciate it," Al'ika said.

"We've caught a couple goblins trying to sneak in," he said. "Some of the new recruits have been using them for pinatas."

She giggled at the image. She turned over and hugged him, smiling.

"How has the book work been coming?" he asked.

 

[celestialdragon]

"I want to murder Flish for his messy handwriting, its hard to decipher his notes with it," she said, growling softly.

 

[bindingeagle]

"Other than that, what did you figure out?"

 

[celestialdragon]

"What antidotes are missing, mainly anitvenoms and deadly plants antidotes," she said, a worried tone in her voice.

 

[bindingeagle]

"I guess I'll need ot change what I prepare spellwise then,"he said.

 

[celestialdragon]

She nodded and snuggled into him, closing her eyes.

Issak remained quiet, holding her and letting her drift off.

Al'ika soon fell asleep, her body making her.

Issak fell asleep after he was sure she was going to be all right.

She woke up a few hours later, drenched in sweat, and she snuggled into her brother.
