Flish sat down with them. "No one spies around here but me," he growled.

Al'ika gave a tired chuckle and reached down to squeeze his hand. "I know," she said.

"Come on and bring the troops," he said. "I have stew ready for them."

Al'ika nodded and looked at Keth. "Mind calling them?" she asked as she stood up slowly.

"Troops! Chow at Tavern!" he bellowed before helping Al'ika up.

Al'ika smiled softly at him as he helped her out. "Thank you," she said.

Keth and Al'ika let the troops eat first and finally sat down to get their food. Flish joined them and sat down with the ledger. "Anyone stand out?" he asked.

Al'ika pointed to a couple of the names while she ate hungrily. "Those, really. Thought I heard those names in the dungeons. She looked at Keth. "You?"

"Keth heard them, too," he said. "Keth didn't thin k he'd let them out though."

"Maybe Ashglow used his clerical magic to control them," Al'ika noted. "Like he did with Flish." She looked at her former lover. "You know what I'm thinking, right?" she asked him.

"We need to get Hallowbrook to use his potion again?"

"Hopefully," Al'ika said. "Besides that. In order for Father to use his potion, we need the men. And I used to date the best spy and thief in town."

"So I'm teaming with Jep again. Great." he muttered. "Fine, I'll go, but don't expect us to be buddies about it." he armored up and left.

Al'ika sighed and rested her head against the table.

Keth made sure Al'ika ate her stew. "You need strength," he said.

Al'ika finished her stew and leaned up against him when she was finished.

"Think we should help look for this guy?" he asked. "Warden Direbane is very dangerous, controlled or not."

"We probably should," Al'ika said in a tired voice.

"You know town, where can you hide?"

Al'ika thought about it then got up. "Let's find it together," she said, using a quick spell to keep her up.

Keth followed her, as she knew the town better than he ever would.

Al'ika found an abandoned house that she had used many times and led him into it. "It's been abandoned for years," she explained in a soft voice.

Keth drew his sword and headed in. He saw dusty tracks on the ground and pointed them out.
