Al'ika smiled and sat up. "Yes, thank you," she said. She took the bowl and beer and began to eat, a little more hungry.

Keth sat down to eat as well. "Want to get out to market today?" he asked, not wanting her to shut herself off.

Al'ika put on a soft blue dress, another one she made, putting a cream colored cloak around her shoulders. "We ready?" she asked softly.

Al'ika smiled and went out the door. Having not used her armor, she didn't walk over to Edioz's, instead heading over to the butcher's first. Then the dairyman and her other usual stops before arriving at Father Hallowbrook's. Smiling, she beckoned Keth to come in with her.

Al'ika made her way to the back, where she knew Father Hallowbrook would be. Kissing Jep's cheek and hugging him, she asked if Father Hallowbrook was busy.

"He's in his lab, but I think he'll see you," said Jep. "Go right in." He looked very angry still. "He's barred me from entering, seems to think I'm dangerous for some reason."

Al'ika smiled and shook her head, amused. "Calm down, brother mine. I can't teach if you're not," she gently teased him. She kissed him again and went in.

Keth followed and felt a strange feeling wash over him as he did. It appeared that Hallowbrook used magic to bar Jep.

"He's mending, slowly," he said, carrying out bloody bandages. "Hasn't said much, but I'm working on something special for him. He did nod and agree to it, so it's of his own free will."

"I think so," he said, ushering her in. Flish was laying on his back, and she could now see the true extent of his injuries. He weakly turned his head and said, "Haven't given up on me yet, Tiger?"

Al'ika shook her head and smiled. "I never give up on those I care about," she said, going over and holding his hand gently. "You should wear armor more often."

"I did. Leather don't help against blunt force trauma so well," he said. "Still, I nicked his face pretty well."

"Like shit for all I put everyone through," he said. "Having to follow my dear father's orders. That's getting fixed, though." he said with a grim, determined smile.

"Edioz told me," Al'ika said. She squeezed his hand. "You'll pull through. You know Father is the best healer in these parts." She kissed his forehead. "Get some rest, you look like you haven't slept."

"Slept, passed out, not much difference right now," he said. "He's got more potion coming, that should help."

Al'ika smiled and kissed his lips gently. "Good."

Passing the Father, she kissed his cheek in thanks before exiting. She kissed Jep's cheek and smiled. "Let's go home, Keth," she said. "Jep, give my best to Issak."

"Will do," he said, giving the magic barrier another dirty look and heading over to Edioz's house. Keth said, "Put away food, sure," and carried the baskets back home.
