Keth extended his arm to her. "Let's go," he said.

She smiled and took his arm. "Let's," she said.

Keth escorted her to the huge, blazing fire. Drums were beating out a rhythm as flutes played in the background.

Al'ika's eyes widened and smiled her eyes bright and happy.

"What first?" Keth asked. He knew he wasn't much of a dancer but was willing to give it a try.

Al'ika gave an amused smile. "Al'ika S'enoi doesn't dance," she told him.

"Really?" he asked. "Looks fun, thought you would teach me."

"Never," she admitted, blushing. "Jep, Issak, and Flish have been trying to get me to for years."

Al'ika laughed and shook her head, blushing, trying to get back to the audience. "Really, Keth?" She laughed.
