"A little," he admitted, "But more glad that you safe." He got her some more drink. "We catching up," he said, "I smell them. Catch them by nightfall."

Al'ika nodded and took a drink. "Issak's furious with me," she said quietly. "I left a spiritual imprint, in the code we always used when we were kids. And he knows I wouldn't have left without doing so." She sighed and got up. "Better go talk to him and Jep," she said. She kissed his cheek. "I'll be back." she promised.

Walking out, she saw Jep was on watch. Timidly, she went up and sat next to him. "I'm sorry. I should've woken you up," she said quietly, demurely. She didn't even look at him, just played with the leather belt.

Jep looked worried. "You don't have to convince me," he said, "Issak's still pissed. I understand you had to go after your story, but he'll come around eventually."

"I did everything I was supposed to, except wake one of you up. I think Issak's pissed that I get to learn something that he can't. Druid magic doesn't work with blue magic, and he knows it." Al'ika sighed and stood up. "Let me talk to him, okay?" she said softly. She kissed Jep's cheek. "Thank you," she added.

Walking over to Issak's leanto, she hesitated outside the door, but then came in. "Issak?" she said softly, seeing him in his bedroll. "I want to talk to you."

Al'ika bit her lip and she sat down in front of Issak, but didn't look at him. "Are you mad at me because you didn't know where I went, and then couldn't find the sign at first? Or are you mad that I'm learning a new magic you can't?" she asked softly. "Issak, I don't want there to be issues between us. I understand you're upset, but I want to be able to talk to my brother and him not be mad at me."

"The magic is fine, I do all right with what I have," he said. "I'm mad because you didn't wake me up and went on your own with ten orcs about."

Al'ika nodded. "I had a split second to make a decision," she said. "I didn't want to disturb you. I teleported there, and Blackreaper walked me back. I'm sorry, you are right, I should've woken you or Jep up. But I did everything else I was supposed to, right? I'm sorry it took you so long to find the sign, but it was there. You know I wouldn't have left without doing it." She began to cry a little bit, not saying anything more.

Issak softened a little and sat down next to her, hugging her. "We were both wrong then, and I'm sorry for my part," he said.

Al'ika hugged him back. "And I am sorry for mine," she said, holding onto him. Her leg gave a twinge and she tried to ignore it.

"We need to cleanse the disease, he said, rolling up her pants legs. He sat and cast a spell, drawing out the putrification. "Is that better?" he asked.

Al'ika nodded. "Alright. I'll go get Keth," she said. She got up and kissed Issak's cheek before walking to Keth's and her sleeping area. "We're picking them off."

Keth awoke. "Knew you would like my attack plan," he said, kissing her and armoring up. "Jep, Ready?" Jep stood. "Does a bear shit in the woods?" he asked. They set off down the hill to where they could see the orcish camp. Since they were hidden so well, the orcs didn't know about them at all.

"Yeah, you don't wait for anything," Al'ika joked, winking at Jep, smirking. "I remember back in the day when you were inexperienced. . . "

"Hey, i shot early," he said. "But I don't now." They waited for dusk and Keth began to run the formation up to the camp. He and Alexis found the first guard and he nodded to her to begin.

The orc turned around at the last minute and caught her blade straight to the throat. He fell over silently.

Issak and Jep took the lead, dropping two more orcs, but when they came to the clearing, they came back. "Very....big....orcs," Issak whispered slowly. "They're serious about whoever they're after."

"Either me or I'eie," Al'ika whispered. "This was a bad idea. . . " She looked up at Keth. "Could you get rid of them?" she asked.
