I'd love to pick your brain. :) Do you have a favorite category/fetish? If so, what? Have you ever had your own idea for a story that you'd like to see? I'm still searching for my muse, and always interested in inspiration. I feel that it is through conversation that people can get to know one another, build rapport, and make those connections. :)

Come say hi! Especially if you enjoy discussing writing and story weaving.

Okay, ponder this:IMHO,

Good stories start "Once, upon a time ".

Better stories start "Listen, let me tell you what really happened".

But the best stories start "I shouldn't be telling you this".

That way, it should transcend category. I like a story that mixes genres. Say, Sci Fi and BDSM or BDSM and Romance, or Romance with Erotic Couplings and Mature and a bit of Anal. If i read a story and can't remember the category, that's probably a good thing.

I like mature as starting point (see above), but not the May-December thing. I enjoy reading about people in theire 50s and 60s getting together.

Thank you for that input. :) I personally do enjoy May to December tales because I am into older men, but it's nice to see an allure for older couples. I also enjoy mixing categories. I think a story usually is more interesting when it could fit into several categories.

Saturday evening bump. This is an interesting topic. I suppose for me, May-December thing is too much of a personal taboo. Younger women are certainly attractive, but I'm way to old to be chasing twenty year-olds. There happened to be a very attractive young woman (okay she was hot AF) in my office asa a temp a couple of years back. Not only was she pretty, she was somewhat familiar. In conversation it came out that her mother was from near where I grew up. Yep, I knew (never dated, fantasized about) the hot chick's mother when I was in HS. That made me feel like a dirty old man, and not in a good way.

So what about your tastes, You've kind of hinted at it: what kind of story sends you over the edge?

I've heard of people who do have the kink of being about to tag both the mom and daughter (or father and son), be it they were with the elder when both were younger or a "today" thing. Nothing wrong with that. :)

As for myself, I do prefer darker themes. BDSM, Sadomasochism, rape, medical fetish, control, older man/younger woman to name a few.

Hey there!
I’m definitely into the noncon section in terms of sissy stuff. So like getting caught dressing or losing a bet to your girl or whoever. Then she makes you dress, collars you and takes you panty shopping, to a sex store then maybe some sort of dance club or sex club.

It seems many men at Lit have this fantasy/fetish. :) What "does it" for you? Is there any specific part that gets you excited? All of it? Have you experienced anything like this in real life?

Just a bump... Still looking for other genuine fans of Literotica stories and/or the writing process!

Kinda the opposite

I'm more into romance and first time but I do like taboo and age play as well. I do try from time to time to go off the beaten path and write about something that I don't really have a clue about, like BDSM (forgive the pun). I've added a bit of BDSM to a couple of my stories and would love to get your opinion on it.

That's cool. There's nothing wrong with romance or first time. :) Under an old name, I tried to write a "romance" story that was D/s related. The local readers to the category told me my tale was not romantic. I said, I thought the guy's actions were quite romantic and had resonated with me after all these years!

Good evening,

There was a time when Fantasy did nothing for me. Unicorns, fairies and what not. But then I started a SRP with someone I knew enjoyed writing in this style. I'll admit, I really enjoy it. It opens the story and characters to such a broad range of possibilities. So much so, I find myself having to reign myself in at times.

Absolutely love fantasy. George R.R. Martin's books have opened a lot pf peoples minds to it. It can be dark, gritty, compelling and fierce. It doesn't have to be just Elves and Unicorns lol.

These both speak to individuality. Writing exposes who you are for better or worse. Romance is very much a product of imagination (maybe even more than fantasy). But then again, so is sexual attraction. My "dream girl" might not appeal very specifically to 95% of the rest of the male population. So naturally, what I find romantic or sexually arousing isn't the same as others.

A while back a very good writer friend challenged me to write in a female voice. Thats a tough one; harder than you might expect. It's often the case that even good writers tend to sound like a guy with boobs when writing as a woman. Robert A Heinlein was guilty of that. Anyways, my story was "okay". I'm no Margaret Atwood, but it ended up not getting trashed.

Anyone else?

That's cool that opening your mind for a friend turned out to be something you enjoyed as well. :)

I like a good kinky twist in a story mixed in with a bit of fantasy. I especially like the thought of a normal date, or series of dates that then leads to a surprise strap on. The subtle softly spoken girl turned controlling some. And say with the flick of her wrist she had him floating in the air and could spin him into any position, quickly, slowly. There is something about a powerful woman taking control and making a man go beyond his normal limit that is so incredibly exciting! Perhaps at the end of the first session there is a subtle hint at an encourage bi in the near future. Now what runs through his mind and does he come back?

I am male but I write from a female character point of view a bit. I hope I do it justice. I did get asked before if I was male or female so that's promising.

I agree with you. I think the LOTR has helped open people's minds. Of course, the movie version helps because people see good looking actors and actresses. lol

100% true! Just like the cliché "beauty is in the eye of the beholder".

It's good to challenge yourself and go outside your comfort zone. I've done it as well in the past.

I came to Lit for the stories. They seemed different then (2002ish). More buildup and back story. I always found one in the recent posts that caught my attention. Today, it is very rare to come across something I will read all the way through. I expect...to use my imagination. If I cant project myself into the story...true for any book I read, too...I am done w it.

Ah, that's cool. It does seem that Femdom is a popular topic. :)

Everyone loves a good bump; what floats your boat? (this is supposed to be a discussion).

Here's an idea you wonderful pervs: try reading a story in a category you aren't usually attracted to.

Not into the rough stuff? Try this (its actually part 2 of a series, but you'll catch on)

Awwie!!

You are so flipping sweet!

I will admit to everyone it isn't my finest story, but I'll take every bit of criticism with a smile. I love hearing feedback.

If only there were a class in "Getting Crap Out of Your Head and Onto the Paper!"! I would take that class, and study like never before.

I keep posting femdom-flavored ideas in the "Story Ideas" section, but they're rarely typed about, and I've been told they're not sought after here.
