Familiar neighbor (open pm for details)
Jayden Rodgers lived all of his life with only his father to watch over him. That didn't mean much to him though. He was some kind of businessman, the typical kind that traveled all the time and spent almost no time in his own home. He didn't know anything about the rest of his family except what his father told him, which wasn't pretty things.
Jayden was left in the care of a nanny until he was old enough to take care of himself. After she left him he began to build a shell around himself making it hard for him to make any relationships. He didn't mind it though at least this way he didn't get hurt.
Now 19 Jayden just graduated from high school and his father remarried and moved his new family into their home. He didn't get along with his new family and he was old enough to live on his own so he took the opportunity to move out.
Jayden now lives on his own without having to put up with anyone else just the way he liked it. His dad agreed to pay the rent for his apartment on the condition Jayden tried to get along with his new step-family.
"Ok fine dad." His dad somehow knew his schedule and knew exactly when to call "You can bring you're family over on the weekend." Class just ended and Jayden was walking back to his apartment. It was his step-mothers birthday and she wanted to go out to eat as a family. It was times like this he regretted not having friends to use as an excuse. They argued on the phone for a while longer before hanging up just as he arrived at his apartment building.
He walked up the flights of stairs to his floor, dreading the whole time having to spend the weekend with his family. Finally on his floor he noticed empty boxes outside the apartment in front of his. Anyone else would have knocked on the door and welcomed the new neighbor to the building. Jayden wasn't anyone else though and he didn't want to give the neighbor a reason to try to be friendly. He quickly opened the door and walked into his apartment and slammed the door before they knew he was home. "Damn!" He said, they probably heard his door slam.
