On Lit. Has anyone ever met a fellow Lit user in real life and from there a romantic relationship blossomed? I think it would be interesting if that were to happen.

Hopefully, if any of them see this they'll respond to you, but I know of at least four couples who met on Lit. So, yes, it does happen.

Sounds like it does happen. It's good but I have a question. I am sorry to be negative has anyone meet someone in real life here that is the opposite of what they say they are on lit? I hope your question gets a better reaction than mine.

As to atari's question, it would not surprise me. There are some wonderful people here. Then all you need to do is get by the obstacles of timing, geography, etc.

As to Arthur's question, probably, although I'd assume once someone gets burned like that on Lit they don't stick around here anymore. Plus I think that most people here (on the Personal/Playground anyway) tend to be a good judge of character.

The small sample of board members that I have met have been as I had expected, but then I had known them for a long time online before meeting them in person.

As for falling in love, or the romance part... there are a variety of definitions of that, but it can happen, in its many forms. Although I am not sure that that is why many people come here, and it may not be what they really want when it does happen accidentally.

The only thing I'll add is that I have met various people from all walks here. And you can indeed develop some relationships that are more than just virtual.

Everyone I have met from Lit has been the same or better than they are online.

I don't know about falling in love. I don't tend to fall in love exactly, but I do believe you can meet people here that you want to keep.
