He looked at her as she pulled out her gun. Yes, this broad is truly crazy.
Jordan looked straight ahead as she continued to drive. He tried not to let on that being around her scared the hell out of him. She was nuts, and he was here to be her back up.... or to spy on her.... or, whatever it was that the higher-ups wanted from him. Hell, all he wanted to do now was survive.
Jordan was impressed with the work of Mia. He liked how well the two of them worked together. It must have been a relationship formed over a number of years.
He followed Legacy back to the truck....checking repeatedly for any soldiers to show their faces.
She smirked and found herself at a guarded perimeter gate. Rolling down the window she just smiled to the guard that walked up.
Hey Mia toss these boys a gift... Santa is here early and feeling generous so you take the gift for you and your buddy there and you never saw me... Right?
Seeing the package land on the ground the guard grinned and called for the gate to be opened.
Gotta love allegiances that are based solely on money... So easily manipulated. If he had paid them good we would be hiding bodies about now.
She found a thick cropping of trees and pulled the truck into them as deep as she could and climbed out. Moving to the back of the truck she had Mia hop down and reached to pull what looked like an old bedroll to her. Unrolling it revealed an arsenal of guns and weapons.
You were asking about a weapon.
She pulled out a pair of guns several clips of ammo and a couple sheaths of throwing knives getting it all strapped to her all seeking hidden in her clothes then collecting up a few blocks of c4 and timers and a few grenades she looked to him.
"I am glad that I am working with someone who knows their way around guns and knives. It looks like I will run out of ammo before you do."
He was more amazed by Legacy as time went on. She continued to do things that, although not shocking, were somewhat surprising.... sometimes in a good way.
"Lead the way boss lady. I will be right on your ass."
She chuckled softly and crept through the treeline. Slowly making their way to the mine. She paused from time to time to listen. Finding the mine she slowly led them in careful where they were going. Whispering to him...
Keep your eyeballs open for workers or soldiers in here.
He followed her into the mine. His eyes moved side to side and up and down as the moved.
He nodded to her and gave her a wink to acknowledge that he was on the lookout for bad guys.
Although he knew there was danger involved in this mission, he felt confident they would get out of here alive. He wasn't sure why. It probably had something to do with Leena.
She found a soldier standing guard over some villagers who were clearly preparing some what appeared to be stale bread and broth for the others. She held a finger to her lips to silence any of the villagers that spotted her and silently threw a knife which struck it's mark perfectly in the back level with his heart as a villager made sure he fell silently to the ground tossing her his rifle.
She handed him the rifle as she spoke with the villagers to see if they knew what was going on or what they were looking for. Once she had her answer she nodded and had them stay where they were till the others joined them then to stay low find her truck and take it. The oldest one said he would not leave her without the truck here even if she was a blessed enough warrior that death would rather die than take.
Once she had walked on he stopped Jordan and whispered.
You are safe with her young one death fears her... Perhaps it is her madness or perhaps it is her bloodlust for justice but you are safe. Protect her.
He watched as she was spot on with the knife. He thought to himself, "damn, she is better than I thought."
As the villager whispered to him, he kept his eyes on Leena... and the area around her. Despite the fact that the villager said death feared her, Jordan made sure that he had her 6.
He nodded to the villager and moved on. He got close to her and tapped her shoulder and pointed to a section of the rocks that was higher than the rest of the area. There were several soldiers there serving as lookouts.
Jordan did not hesitate when he saw the threat approaching Legacy. With 2 short bursts from the Mac 10 he took out the soldiers who were attempting to sneak up behind Leena as she dealt with the lookouts. Although, it eliminated the immediate threat, it served to warn the soldiers of their presence.
He moved in closer to Legacy as they advanced. There was something about her that enabled hi to relax even though he was in a fight for his life. Jordan was confident that he would survive this, because Leena was leading the charge.
She took out the remaining guards in the mine and guided the people out. They all quickly vanished into the trucks and she instructed some to change clothes with guards so a small convoy of trucks could leave without too much suspicion.
The soldiers who are still alive... We will drop them off at the front door of the compound
She had them loaded up in thetruck bound in the tie strips and "Bring It" spray painted on the hood. Sent the villagers on their way and let Jordan drive her truck while she drove the truck hauling the prisoners. Straight to the compound locking the truck in drive gas peddle locked to the floor and tucked and rolled then watched the truck bust through the gate and straight for the front door.
Knock knock she laughed as she made her way back to her truck.
