Fallen Soldier

Felix snorted softly as he looked down at the girl and spoke up softly, "Well, making love to a fine woman isn't supposed to be something that you rush. I'm sorry that I was taking so long." He sighed softly when he heard the story of what had happened to the girl. So her lover had decided to stab her in her sleep...well, that was interesting, and it explained why she was as negative as she was. He pushed himself back so he was laying back against the bed again, "You picked a bad lover. The only thing that a man should be stabbing a woman that he loves with isn't a dagger." He stared up at the ceiling for a few moments. He knew it wasn't going to cheer the girl up, "I've heard the name before though...probably one of those guys making it harder for me to do my job..."

She blinked and crawled on top of him, looking down at him. "You've heard of Ariston?!" She cried, grabbing him by his collar, and pulling him up. "Where was the last time you heard of him?!" She hissed, her eyes sparkling with delight. She blinked, before crawling off of him. "Sorry..." She cleared her throat. "And he wasn't a bad lover... He was a wonderful lover..." She whispered, her mind wandering off to the last time they had made love. She shook her head, and then rubbed the back of her head. "Sorry..."

He looked at the girl for a few moments, and then sighed softly, "He tried to kill you. I don't think that makes for a good lover." He watched her carefully and sighed softly, "As for when I heard about him last, like I said, I'm still not sure who it is really, so I can't really tell you that." He let out a long sigh, still looking into the girl's eyes, "Please let go of me. Last time that you were gripping onto me all tightly like that you elbowed me in the head."

"Oh... Sorry..." She let go of him, and sat back, pulling her knees up to her chest. "You haven't heard any rumors?" she asked, looking up at him. "And he was probably set up, you don't know him like I do..." She murmured.

He sighed softly, still looking at the girl. It was hard to talk to this girl. She lived in such a strange happy world where anything that she wanted to be true was true simply because she wanted it to be. He couldn't really deal with a girl like that. What was going to happen if they found out that this man who she obviously still loved was as much of a villain as she secretly thought that he was? What was going to happen when the found out that love didn't make the world go round and all of that jazz? He really didn't want to have to be the one there to say 'I told you so' when they found this guy and he was balls deep in another woman, having long forgotten about her. He closed his eyes and thought out the words that he would use carefully, "I hear a lot of rumors, but I don't pay much attention to them. I hear rumors about things like resistance to governments, and corrupt officials for the most part. What do you want me to say?" He watched her reaction, "Chances are you don't know the guy as well as you think you do, maybe if you did you would have seen the whole 'try to kill you' thing coming."

"Well, I know that." She said, glaring at him. "I don't doubt he's probably sleeping with all kinds of whores and all that shit, but he was my first, so I can't help it, sorry." She said, standing up. "So are you coming with me or not?" She asked, looking at him.

He looked at the girl for a few moments and sighed softly before looking over to a wall so he wasn't looking at her when he spoke the next sentence, "Well, you were my first, but I'm still willing to admit that I know absolutely nothing about you on a personal, or professional level. For all I know you are some barbarian who does this all the time." He looked back to her for a few moments and let the room fall into silence, "Where would I be going with you?"

"To go kill Ariston." She said, turning around and looking at him. "I'm... sorry about that," she said, looking at the floor. "I didn't know..." She murmured, rubbing the back of her neck.

He stared up at the ceiling, "Don't worry. You were probably my last too, after all of the emotional damage that you did to me telling me that I was absolutely awful in bed, and being able to tell that it was my first time so easily...I think that should put me off of sex just about forever." He let out a long breath as he pushed himself up into a standing position next to his bed, "I suppose I might as well go with you. You never know when you might find a door that needs opening, or we might come across something worth my time to steal..."

She felt even worse now. She looked at the floor, then huffed, walking out the door. "Don't be such a little bitch about it. It's not like I tried to kill you and leave you for dead, all that shit..." she said, storming out the door. "And you can get better with practice, or that's what I was taught growing up."

He snorted as he looked at her and followed the girl, "And who is going to help me practice?" He sighed softly as they left the hut and he looked up at the sky, "Who'll want me now? At least you're actually decent in bed, not that I'd know since you're the only one I've had, but you've at least got that going for you." He continued to adjust his dagger on his belt, and then moved to adjust his cape a little bit.

"You're supposed to be a thief... You don't rape a young woman who happens to be there in case something happens?" She asked, looking at him, eyebrow raised. "I guess one of us has to have standards," she murmured, looking forward.

He looked over to her for a few moments and sighed softly, "How would raping a young woman help me at all?" He finished the adjustments on his cape, "I'm sure that you use sex as a tool all the time, after all you're good at it, but as a thief I rarely have the time to drop what I'm doing to give some random girl a dick."

"You knock her out and do what you have to do. And I don't use my sexuality at all... Just on you, but my plan did not work out..." She shrugged a bit.

He smirked as he looked at her for a few moments, "Well now we know why your plan didn't work out, don't we? You didn't knock me out first." He chuckled at that and then shrugged, continuing to walk along the path.

"So I guess I should knock people out first then rob them." She grinned a bit, continuing on.
