In an age of swords and sorcery a great war had transpired between the many kingdoms of Alcury.
The war had been devistating, destroying the land and countless lives both human and non-human alike.

As time passed on the war had suddenly slowed and then abruptly stoped with no written documents or clues as to what or why it had done so.

All that is known is that when the war had ended each of the kingdoms entered a time of blissful peace and prosperity letting the sands of time heal the earth and wash away the nightmares of the tragic battles.

This was not to remain however as most wars are doomed to repeat themselfs.

As the kingdom of Alcury, a normally good natured kingdom, grew and continued to prosper the king soon realized that his kingdom was growing too fast and soon his lands would no longer be able to satisfiy the needs of his people and famon would break out in his country.
In response to this problem the king dispatched messengers to other nearby kingdoms requesting that they open their borders and allow his people to share the land with theirs.

It wasn't long before the king received his messages back however, every message denied without hesitation. Not one to loose hope however the king continued to search for an anwser to solve this problem.

As time continued to flow the king found himself hard pressed by his council men and the pleads of his people to take action. Many of his people felt resentment towards the other races and even urged the king to take military action against them for their lack of respect for their kingdom.
The king was completely against the idea however and stood by his decission without waver.

That is until the beloved king died mysteriously one night while in his sleep.

With the news of the kings mysterious death and no heir to inherit the thrown the power of the kingdom fell upon the shoulders of the twelve council members who worked togeather to represent the people of Alcury.

It is with the council members did they convince the people that the true cause of the kings death was by an outsider and even had evidence of this with an elven blade found at the crime scean.

Sparking the fires of hate within the people it wasn't long before the council members were able to breath life back into the Alcury army and send them out on a holy quest to exact revenge upon all outsiders for their heidous crimes.

It wasn't long before the kingdom of Alcury overwhelmed and conquered the first few countries surrounding them, brutally murdering them, taking their lands for their own and enslaving the residense already living there.

Though the council men had givin the people the revenge that they had wanted it still wouldn't stop their advancements onto other kingdoms and using there influence over the people they soon had labled all outsiders as savages with no human rights.

Outside of Alcury the other kingdoms have become deeply concerned with the growing power of Alcury's forces and while some choose to hide fearing them others prepar to definitely stand against the might of the growing Alcury army to protect their homes and what they belive in.

She was nothing more than a victim in the midst of a war. She had no anger, no hate, no anything toward others.

And in reality, neither did her people. Her small realm, it was much to small to call a kingdom, occupied a sliver of land near the base of the mountain. There was fresh water, there was just enough land cleared to grow needed vegetable and fruits, to gaze harvest animals. There was access, altho not easy, to the roads that took travelors to the larger realms that surrounded them, the real kingdoms. Often they would journey to those very kingdoms to trade for supplies, using what little coin they had, and trading fresh foods and the like for perhaps materials or even medicines.

She, and her people, were nothing more than victims in the war that the Kingdom of Alcury declaired on most everyone around them.

Elemmire could never understand why, why could the humans not live in peace with one another. They were of the same race, the same species. Within their veins ran the same red blood. Why did one wish to possess what the other had? She would never understand.

She chose not to understand. She wanted the war, the soldiers and the battles to pass her lands by. She prayed for just this. But war is ravenous, and rarely passes by without feeding on the blood of innocents.

Elemmire was an innocent. She lived among the sun Elves.

Sun Elves are an exotic and beautiful race with skin of bronze or amber, and hair of copper, golden blond or black. Elemmire's long flowing mane was of the finest spun gold, reflecting the rays of the sun within those brillant strands. Their eyes are usually gold or green, and hers was no exception, she having sparkling golden hued eyes.

They are also taller than some other elves, closer in height to humans, but as they value study over combat they are a little less robust than Moon Elves.

But Elemmire was different, for she had Moon Elf blood flowing in her veins as well. Moon Elves are tall and elegant and often extremely beautiful. Their skin is ivory-white, often with blue tints ,with white, silver-white, sapphire blue, or black hair. Very rarely they can be blond.
Their eyes are blue or green with gold flecks.

Elemmire had that pale ivory skin of the Moon Elves, and the gold mane and eyes of the Sun Elves. She was a rare mingling of both races, now living with her Father in the realm of the Sun Elves.

She, even at her young age, was learning the mystics of magic, as well as the art of healing. Her Father, seeming to see the upcoming turmoil, even tho he did not speak of it, began training her in the use of weapons. Swords were just to heavy and clumsy for the girl, but she had a natural talent for the crossbow, and a slender, curved, Elven Dagger, that her Father gifted her with. This was always with her, whether at her side or strapped to her thigh beneath her garments.

She was 20 seasons now, entering adulthood, the time to find a mate, to begin a family. That is until the King within the Kingdom of Alcury mysteriously passed in his slumber.

It was rumored, even in her small village, that an Elven Blade had been found, that an Elf was the Killer.

Her world, her life, was about to change.

The smell of smoke filled the night air as Alcury soilders decended upon the small inflamed elven village. From every direction the sound of metal clashing against metal rang loudly joined by the screams of the injured or the dieing.

Up on a large hill not to far away two knights dressed in black armor sat upon warhorses watching the scean casually as it unfolded before them.

"heh...a stubern bunch these savages... it would seem they arn't going to give up without putting up a struggle."
The older knight said while his intense gaze studied and watched the movements of his men and the enemies, all the while creating a new tactical plans to give them the upper hand.

http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h289/NinaZaling/OldKnight2.jpg
The old man had a white white beard and a face full of wrinkles. Yet dispite his age he still sat up strait and tall on his warhorse and several pendents decorated his fullplate armor showing off his high rank as general and tactical genious in the feilds of combat.

"Why is it these savages throw away their lives so readily?"
The old man said then while turning to look towards the younger knight.
"Tell me Kain..what do you think?"

http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h289/NinaZaling/KainLockheart.jpg
Kain Lockheart, a young man of his 28th season continued to stare downwards at the feild below. Though much younger then the older general he had been placed second in command of this regiment and was concidered a prodigy among many for his exceptional skills in combat at such a young age. Kain then responding back lightly anwsering the older mans question in a mild tone.

"We're attacking their homeland...it's only natural that anyone would want to defend it. Think of how you would feel if someone invaded your home."

"bah" The old man retorted "If it was me in their shoes I'd welcome any of the bastards into my home and even offer them tea...there'll always be a chance later to attack when the enemies guard is down."

Kain chuckled lighlty. The old man, as great a general as he was was more like a father to him then anything else.
Haveing been an orphan at the age of five it was the old man that had taken him in and had taught him everything he knew today. Dispite not being his real father both him and the old man respected one another greatly and both enjoyed the feel of battle.

"Not everyone fights the same way as you do old man...as crazy as it sounds some people simply fight to protect something they hold dear. Even when the odds are against them."

"That's the kind of thinking that will only get a man killed."
The old man said frowning lightly before a soilder ran up to the two of them.

"Commander Talguard! all preperations are complete we now have the village completly surrounded."

"Perfect, the noose is ready then. Go ahead and tighten it around the necks of our enemy. Don't let any escape and slay any who resist."

"Yes commander, Also I'd like to report that our men on the east side of the village are having trouble attacking with a few slightly more skilled savages that are slowing their progress."

A look of interest had crossed over Talguards wrinkled face breifly but he soon shruged it off as if the news was a minor nuisance.

"Slightly more skilled are they?" He turned then looking over to Kain. "I have buisness else where so I'll leave this operation up to you. Why don't you go ahead and give our men a good lesson on how to really fight." Talguard said with a grin.

With a simple nod Kain then spured his warhorse on and charged down the hill. From behind he could hear Talguard yelling out to him.
"You be careful now you hear Kain. Even if they are savages you never want to underestimate your opponent. And Don't forget to teach them to fear the might of the Alcury army!"

With that Kain continued his charge, falling out of ears shot from his commander as he neared the burning village, his black armor reflecting the light of the flames making him appear more like a demon.
Within an instant his onxy colored sword was drawn and the first of many elves to be slain by him fell, their hot blood coating his sword as his cold sapphire eyes relentless searched for his next opponent.

((Here's a picture of how Alcurys Dark Knights look. Kain's wearing almost the same armor but without a helmet and diffrent armor pads. http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h289/NinaZaling/DarkKnight.jpg))

The sounds were nothing short of horrible. The sounds of screams, pain, terror, anguish, the sounds of dying.

It had happened so fast. As much as Elemmire had prayed that the war would pass them by, as much as she pleaded with the gods, the battle, no, the slaughter had found them in their peaceful place. A place they called home.

They called it Delmah, a simple word, a simple name, it meant home. That was what this small place at the base of the mountain was to them. Home. The Sun Elves were not warriors. Not fighters. When the Soldiers of Alcury attacked as the sun set, using the dusk shadows to ambush their prey, the Sun Elves desperately fought to save their homes, their families, and their lives.

They were not caught unprepared. For the Elders had known the war raged, had warned the younger that preparations had to be made. But as already stated, the Sun Elves were not warriors. They fought savagedly, out of desperation, not with the cold, calculation of the Alcury Soldiers.

In truth, they were no match.

"Elemmire, ELEMMIRE!" Her Father's voice cried out to her. Both were on the east side of the village, and all around them, approaching from what felt like all sides, was the sounds of death, the song of war. Her Father, along with several of the more powerful elders, had been holding off the attacking Soldiers with their strength, but moreso, with their magic. At the moment, a dark shroud hung about the east side of the village, effectively hiding the Elves from the view of the Men just outside that shroud. They could see them, but the Men, could see nothing at the moment.

But their magic was weakening, in their fear, and in their exhaustion. Sun Elves, just by the nature of their name, gathered strength and power from the light and warmth of the sun. They were much weaker at night, and their use of the darker aspect of magic, was weakened. Only a rare few of the Elders even knew how to weild the power of the night, the moon. And even then, it was with great concentration and weakening.

But Elemmire, she had Moon Elf blood coursing thru her veins. Her mother was a full blooded Moon Elf, and a powerful one at that.

Oh yes, their mating, that of her Father the Sun Elf and her Mother the Moon Elf, was frowned upon to say the very least. And her own birth had been seen as an abomination, the mingling of the two bloods. But the girl was strong, powerful, and altho never fully accepted, she had found a place among the Sun loving Elves. This *abomination* as the Elders once called her, was now being summoned to save those very Elders.

She was at her Father's side the moment he called. "yyyes Father?" She could not deny that she was scared, terrified. These were her people, to her, no matter what they called her, this was her family, and the only home she had ever known.

"It's time my daughter. You must unleash the magic that lies dorment within you. We can not hold off the Soldiers for much longer, for our magic is weak. But yours, my Sun, my Moon, daughter, your magic flourishes in the night as well as the day."

Elemmire did not want to hurt anyone, not even the attacking Soldiers. But she knew that her life and the lives of all she held dear, depended on her.

"Yes Father" she nodded. Before her, in the moon's light, the shroud of shadows, conjoured by the Elders, was fading fast. Her own fighters charged, hoping to catch the more seasoned Soldiers off guard, before their shield of night faded completely.

The sounds were more than horrifying, and she could not stop her own trembling.

But from deep inside, she grasping the darkness that lingered within her soul, she began to speak, softly, so softly that even her Father, standing next to her, could not quite hear the words, the whispers that slipped from her lips...

"Veldrin d' isto, rahi d' oloth, doer ulu uns'aa, zirn pholor l' veldrin, dryss'ho wund l' alantha, tyav d'lil drathir's n'tol inthuul, dryss'ho a ussta quarth, lu' cahlind wund l' ogglinn, ssa d' ussta veldrin, errdegahr d' ussta isto, zotreth'mal harl jala vel'uss tyav Eldalie vlos nindol isto..."
Shadows of night, hands of darkness, come to me, feed upon the shadows, gather within the midnight, taste of the moon's vicious chill, gather at my command, serpent of my shadows, demon of my night, and snake into the enemy, striking down any who taste Elven blood this night...

Before her, the air, the shadows, the darkness, began to form, twist, she did not even have to speak aloud, the magic, with just her barest whisper, flowed forth. Slithering around her, as if gathering strength from her.

Elemmire's eyes had been closed, as her hushed voice trembled. Within her mind, she formed the dark beast, a night serpent, a winged horror, that would rain down upon the attacking Soldiers. When those golden eyes opened, there was a deep flicker within, a fire that had ignited in her very soul, it was that flame, that burned forth the demon that she had called from the very depths of hell itself, or was it a beast that she herself had awakened within her and unleashed. It mattered not, not anymore.

The Night Dragon was unleashed.
(click on the link to see the image)

It soared upon wings of pure midnight, it's roar, a hellish sound that tore thru the blackness, echoed, seeming to shudder thru the very moon that watched from above, unblinking, uncaring, cold, haunting.

Elemmire, lost in the darkness she had brought forth, did not see, nor realize that her Father was no longer by her side. He too had waded into the battle, to protect his daughter. As her eyes came into focus, she searched wildly for her Father.

"FATHER?" her voice was lost in the howl of the attacking serpent, the apparition that once more ripped into another screaming Soldier.

Everything was happening so fast. She had lost control of the very Beast she had brought forth. Blood soaked the lands, her own people's as well as the blood of the humans who so viciously attacked them. But.... where was her Father???

"FATHER??? FATHER WERE ARE YOU?"

"ELEMMIRE!!" came the triumphant call from his familiar voice. She spun around, to see the shroud of darkness that preceeded the still attacking serpent part, a deep keening cry coming from the serpent as it circled above, hunting, killing. She met her Father's eyes, but only for a moment. Something, a glint of steel, the flames of a nearby fire, and fires were buring everywhere around her, flickering off a darkened steel, ebony armor.

Her Father had no idea what was racing down upon him.

"FATHER!!! FATHER, LOOK OUT" her scream was too late. The Demonic Vision on horseback was charging full speed down the side of the mountain, or so it looked like. It was a hellish site, a Demon, a spectacle from Hell itself, born of the same despair and anguish that the serpent had come. Even the Night Dragon paused, for this Beast surely was more powerful, the fires of Hell burned upon It's very face. And.....

It...He... was heading straight for her Father...

"DADDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

There is an old saying in times of war
"Know thy enemy and know thy self and even in a hundred battles you will never be in peril."

This saying was evident in Kain as he tore through what defenses the sun elves had putten up with greatest ease.
Having known the sun elves would weaken at the dead of night the Alcury army had timed the attack from the very start and knew exaclty how the sun elves would react, their every defensive and offensive plan, their every style of combat and of course every possible escape route for the women and children.
The plan had been full proof and the village of Delmah was expected to fall under their control before the first beams of light grazed the top of the snow
peaked mountains.

As Kain cut through another sun elf he felt himself getting closer to the eastern side of the village which was filled with the pressense of magical energy.
Having a little bit of knowlege of arcane arts himself he was able to pick up small traces of magic in the air and could even cast a few small spells himself if needed be.

Something gave a tramendous roar as a wave of dark magical energy came crashing down around him. Looking to the skies he witnessed the creation of a summoned shadow dragon and was nearily thrown off his horse as the Dragon fear washed over the entire village.

He himself had almost subcomed to the dragon fear, overwhelmed with the basic instincts to immeditly flee. The Dragon fear affect could make even the braveist of warrors tremble and freeze at the sight of such a monster while others simply droped their weapons and fled.

Kain had delt with such creatures before however and quickly sucked in his gut calming himself down first along with his horse and forceing his common sense to work past the initial fear.

If the dragon was left unchecked, it would certinly jeperdized the whole mission and while it was hard to kill one of these creatures it certinly wasn't impossible.
However this was something Kain couldn't handle alone and would need the help of his soilders.

Glancing back to a few of the fleeing soilders Kain shouted loudly to get there attention back.

"Fear not the dragon men! Kill the wizard who summoned him and it'll loose its ties on this plane of existance, returning it from wence it came!
With an ideal plan in place many of the soilders stoped, looking back towards the Dark knight as the flames continued to reflect off his armor.
"We are the elite of the Alcury army, we flee from no one! and before this night ends dragon or no dragon this village will be ours."

Kain's voice and apperence as a dark knight alone was enouph to inspire the fleeing soilders to once again pick up their weapons and charge back into fray.
With a force by his side Kain then spured his horse onward creating another charge with his sword drawn, this time heading straight to the point of the dragons creation.

It wasn't long before Kain came upon a magical shroud of darkness further down upon the mountain and without hesitation jumped head long into it.

Like a monster coming from the darkness and flames Kain emerged from the magical shroud and the shroud itself seemd to disburst immeditly upon his arrival.

Swinging his sword once he claimed the life of an older sun elf, an elder from what he could tell from what the robes the elf was wearing.

His attention then came upon one particular sun elf who was holding his own against a few of his own soilders. It would be an easy and fast kill as the elf had his back turned at the moment and just as he drew close raising his sword up high to cleave the elfs head from his shoulders he heard a shreeking cry.

"DADDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"He faltered then hearing a girls cry for her father but only for a moment as he continued through with his swing. The heavy Dark blade sang as it sliced the air but because of the breif moment of hesitation the blades song ended with a sour note clashing hard against the sun elf's own blade as he managed to block the attack just in time. The impact still sent the elf flying back but otherwize he was okay and managed to stand up quickly facing Kain, an elven blade at the ready.

Kain slowed to a stop then and turned to stare coldy at the elf before him. This one was much more trained then the others...He would make an excellent opponent. Kain thought to himself as he quickly rolled off of his war horse and moved slowly toward the elf with his sword in hand.

The songs of battle raged all around and the roar of the dragon continued to cry as it hunted and slaughtered anyone foolish enouph to fall within its path.
That mattered little now however as the world and chaos around them seemed to fade away leaving just the two of them in their private battle.

"I will not let you steal the dreams of my people dark one."
The old Elf said as he glared intensely into Kain's eyes.
"For my people and for my daughter's sake I will defeat you! You can not win!"

Stareing back with his cold sapphire eyes Kain gave no response as he studied the older elfs stance and movement. He then noticed something as the elf shifted his weight from one leg to the other and charged at Kain.
Using one hand Kain brought his own sword up to parry the elfs attack throwing both their swords upwards but like most elves this elf fought gracefully with deadily precision making most of his attacks appear more like a dance flowing togeather in a series of attacks. With his blade thrown upwards the elf only spun around quickly moveing his sword in the flow of the attack and brining it back around to try and cut Kain across his midsection. Kain predicted this and let his sword drop from his right hand quickly only to be caught in his left with the blade facing downwards to block the attack. mean while his now free hand right hand now rested upon the hilt of the elven's sword. Being ambidextrous Kain had as much strength in his left hand as he did in his right which was very uncommon and caught the elf offguard.
Time would seem to slow then as Kains stared into the face of his enemy and spoke quietly.

"How could you expect win...when you've already lost the war."

With that Kain move forward shoving his side into the elf and forcing him to transfer most of his weight onto his left leg to keep from falling.

The elf griminced in pain as this happend, being forced onto his bad leg that ultimatly lead him to loosing his balance.
That was all Kain needed as he freed his right hand from the elfs sword and spun around the Elf's body to have his back against the elf.
Much like sheathing his sword Kain then slid the blade of his dark sword into the elf's back and out his chest. He then fell to the ground his eyes closing as darkness clouded his vision.

Kain stood their for a moment letting his senses take in everything around him , but mostly in an attempt to locate the dragons location. He soon found it tearing through more of his men and elves alike and frowned. He had already lost more men then he had expected too in this battle and he certinlly hadn't counted on a dragon to add to the body count. All Kain knew was it was about time to slay a dragon.

It all seemed to happen in slow motion, as if the battle, the dragon, the war, the soldiers, the elves, even the very rotation of the planet had slowed to a crawl. Her scream to her Father, that terrified DADDY that had rung out from her lips hung in midair, floating there, moved only by the pulse of the Dragon's wings as it soared by, as if gliding on a breath of wind, slowly fluttering, a dark petal on the breeze.

But that was all simply perception.

Things were happening at lightning speed, the charging Demonic Warrior, her Father turning to face the enemy, the clash of swords, the blood, and the final strike. But to the horrified Elf Girl, it was painfully slow, the long, razor sharp sword of the Demon, and that was how she saw the Man now, as a Demon, slicing thru the body of her Father as he screamed.

Her eyes went wide, she adding her own keening scream of "DADDDDDDY!!!!" to his as he fell, dying, to the ground.

The Dragon let loose the same high pitched howl, as if feeding off the anguish of It's creator. It turned in mid air, and like an arrow, shot toward the Demonic Soldier as He stood over the still spasming body of the fallen Elf. A heavy shroud of darkness, darkness and a mind numbing cold, preceeding the diving Dragon, spilling out before it.

The sound of It's roar, a desperate, anguished, enraged sound, shook the very land that the Soldiers and Elves stood upon. It's maw opened, razored fangs dripping the blood of the fallen It had already torn apart, It's eyes locked on It's prey.

"DADDY!!!! NOOOOO!!" she cried once more as she watched the body of her Father spasm, convulse, twitch, and go still.

Elemmire thought she heard, deep in her heart, her Father saying goodbye.

Golden eyes rolling back, a deep, desperate gasp taken, she falls to the bloodied ground, unconscious, that pale mane of hers spreading out about her like a golden halo. If one did not know any better, one may have thought she were an angel, an angel amidst the hell of this land and this war.

The Dragon, so close now to the Killer Demonic Soldier that It's breath surely could be felt, uttered a low, deep groan, snapping It's jaws closed and twisting suddenly upwards, the shadows, the chill, the utter and complete blackness that had come before it, consumed the beast, and it disappeared, seemingly fading into the magic that had created it.

It was obvious that the girl fainting had, in turn, negated the Dragon. The Dragon that she had created.

The dragon gave such a howl that a few soilders where thrown to the ground from the sheer intesity of it, and then its dark eyes fell upon Kain there gazes meeting and becoming one.

Kain cursed quietly to himself, somehow knowing it was coming for him and braced himself, his dark sword held low with both his hands placed over it as he whispered words of dark magic into his sword.

He would need to use every ouce of his strength to hopefully fend off the attack but he wouldn't do so alone and with a quick commanding shout he had a few of the other soilders prepare as well, Their crossbows at the ready tiped with magical ruins for opponents such as these to give a little extra kick upon impact.

Following the dragons decent well timed bolts fired one after another createing a rain of bolts upon the Dragon. A few of them sunk deep into the dragons scales followed by an explosion. Though the dragon shreaked both in surprise and in pain it did little to slow its decent something driving the dragon onward in a mad rush.

As the dragon swooped down low its sword like talons and maw ready to rip Kain apart, Kain's own sword started to glow with a dark hue and red lightning began jumping from the blade.

"This was it" Kain thought to himself. Whether or not he lived through this or not he would at least be given a hero's death the highist honor one could acheive.

Kain gave a shout then as his sword burst into flames and just as he was about to swing something unexpected happend and the dragons mall suddenly snaped shut followed by a deep grown. Seeing the dragon halt its attack he stoped himself watching the dragon as it twisted upwards into the air and was consumed in the same magical darkness it was born from.

Kain was struck at awe at first, confused as to what had happend until he remembered something and glanced back at the fallen sun elf behind him who he had just recently slained.

"So you were the summoner..." he said to the dead elf infront of him. One thing did strike him as odd though. Had a sun elf really summoned such a dark beast? such things he had thought were impossible for a sun elf but apprently this was not so. Whatever the case the elf was now dead and along with him the shadow dragon no longer had ties to this mortal plain. A few of the men had started to cheer with the destruction of the dragon while Kain sheathed his sword as a soilder ran up to him.

"Lord Kain, the village is secure. We are now in the process of rounding up the rest of the savages and taking them as prisoners."

Noding lightly he dismissed the soilder and looked upon the burning village that had once been a home to these people.
As the soilder had said the battle was pretty much over save for a few small skimishes now but at this point most of the elves were either being bounded by rope to be taken as slaves or lieing dead upon the ground for resisting.

His attention then turned as he heard laughter coming from a group of soilders who had surrounded a female elf who was laying on the ground unmoving.

"Now there's a pretty elf!" one of the soilders said "She's still alive too, lets wake her up and have some fun with her" Another said as he reached down and tore open the top of her clothing to expose her naked breast beneath. The mand then begain to foundle over her breast rouphly his eyes filled with want and lust.

"What the hell do you think your doing!" Kain shouted with much authority in his voice as he approuched the group that caused the men to jump.

"This is no time to be messing around there are still enemies about who would gladly gut you for messing with their women."

"But sir" one of them started to whine. "We've already taken the village there's no one left to fight. Let us have some fun now like all the other generals let there men do."

Kain glared upon the man who had spoken up which instantly caused the man to shrink away. "Such insolence, do you fools have no shame nor pride? That you must fill your pathetic desires on our enemies?"

"I won't have any of you touch these women at least not while I'm incharge"

"Women! but general their nothing but savages! who cares what happens to them"
With that Kain moved over and backhanded the man who had initially torn off the girls top with his guntleted hand and sent him flying to the ground.

"Get out of my sight all of you! and if I find out you've messed with any of the girls here I'll make sure your all positioned on the front lines of our next battle."

With grumbles and death like stares the men moved on leaving the girl and Kain behind.

Looking back down at the elf Kain had to admit that she was indeed beautiful much like a lost angel in a war torn land of death and destruction. However no matter how he looked at it she was still an enemy, but one that would be spared from the lustful cravings the soilders had and most likely would have their way with other prisoners.

It was just something that happend in war, but Kain couldn't help the feeling that the Alcury armies were loosing their sight on the whole purpose of fighting these wars.

Kneeling down Kain scooped the elven girl from the blood soaked earth and carried her over to his warhorse were he mounted up and begain his long ride back up the mountain.

As he finally reached the Alcury army encampment he immeditly entered his own large tent and tied the elven girl up against a pole that was positioned at the far end of the tent so no one could see her.
For now he would leave her here as he had other issues to attend to.
As Kain left the tent he could make out the small lines of light that traced the snowy mountain caps in the far distance. It was Dawn.

Dawn......

The time when the sun lifts from it's slumber, and chases the night back, warming the chill, alighting the sky.

Elemmire's eyes fluttered slightly as she slowly awakened. At first her mind and vision was clouded, hazed, she thinking she was waking up in the midst of a dream, surely a dream. She was not in her bed, in her home, she could not hear the familiar snore of her Father close by, she could not hear the bustle of the early awakening Elves outside.

It was quiet, strangely quiet.

Most of the Alcury Soldiers, exhausted from the battle, and the ensueing celebrations, as well as the, one may call them, festivities, which basically meant, the use of the captured girls that the Commander, Kain, had not seen, nor taken an interest in, had sated the Men and most, save for the ones standing guard, were enjoying a well earned, well earned in their minds at least, sleep.

The captives of this war, of the offensive of the Kingdom of Alcury, suffered much. The surviving males, and often there were very few surviving males, were enslaved, either as fighters, pit fighters, made to battle each other for the enjoyment of the Soldiers (think dog or cock fights), or were sent to the dungeons as prisoners.

Females tended to have it worse. If too young to old, most were sent to work in the kitchens or as serving wenches for the Rulers. The ones of *age*, were enslaved and used for sex. Either to pleasure the Soldiers, or were sold among the people of Alcury for use however the new owners saw fit. Most were sexual slaves. Any hope of love, family, or freedom, gone forever.

Elemmire closed her eyes again, trying to will herself to awaken from this dream, or was this a nightmare?

She was captive, sitting down upon the ground, hands tightly bound behind her, a pole at her back. This WAS a nightmare, the realization hitting her as the memory of her Father, being struck down by that Demon of a Soldier, came flooding into her now waking up mind.

She jerked forward, trying to free herself, but the ropes merely bit into her wrists.

An overwhelming sensation of terror came over her, and she knew, she had to calm down, she had to. Terror would do her no good at this point. The sadness over the death of her Father was something else. It was a struggle to cast back that awful memory, but already tears were falling from her eyes.

Why, why did these, Soldiers, this Kingdom, have to do this to her and her own people?

Taking a deep breath, Elemmire managed to calm herself, closing her eyes and letting her body relax. She was not exactly sure how she came to be here, or just where here was, other than it was obvious this was the tent, and a large one, of one of the Soldiers. More than likely a commander. Opening her eyes, the Elf girl carefully looked around, taking note of anything and everything she saw. It had not even dawned on her that her dress was ripped, that in her struggles, her right breast had worked free and even now was bared for anyone to see.

The tent, for it's size, was pretty basic, bedding, a table, chairs, a couple of small trunks probably containing weapons or maps or something of the sort. A cloak, some clothes. There were no weapons visable, nor was there any sign of the Man who occupied this tent, whoever He was. The thought of Him scared her. He had obviously brought her here. Elemmire was not stupid, she knew full well the bleak future of war captives. Her Father had been quite graphic about that.

"It would be better that you die, daughter" he had said, "than to be captive, and enslaved to the enemy"

She let her head lower, a soft whimper coming from her trembling lips. It was then that she realized, she was exposed !!! She stared down at the soft, white swell of her breast, the darker areola and the slightly swollen nipple. It was chilled in the tent and her exposed nipple was responding, filling with warm blood and darkening in color to a deep dusky rose.

A gasp escaped her, but she had no way of covering up. How had her dress gotten ripped? Had He?? Had He touched her???????? Just the very thought sent a wave of shivering cold thru her, the sensation settling in her belly where it knotted there.

She would end it, she would use her magic and summon the Night Dragon and just end her life.

That was when Elemmire realized, there already was a shadow of magic encircling the tent. Dark magic, Demonic magic. Demonic... She remembering the Demon Soldier that had killed her Father.

Oh gods, it was HIS tent.

Kain was no demon but he was no fool either having delt with elves before in the past whom many relied heavily on magic. Out of all the other tents within the camp Kains was the only one with an invisible anti-magic barrior placed over it to prevent or resist many types of spells should he be attacked while in his tent. Those trained in magic would be able to sense the barrior but to everyone else they would see a simple circle traced out around his tent in the dirt.

Eariler that morning while the soilders were given permission to rest and celebrate as they wished for their succesful victory, Kain was busy going over their next movements with commander Talguard.

"Seems we don't have much of a choice... The only path available left is straight through the mountain pass."

Using his hand Kain pointed out a single path on a large map that covered an entire table.

Talguard sat comfortably in a wooden chair, no longer wearing the heavy armor of a Dark knight but rather a simple set of clothing for comfort. Following Kains hand Talguard gently stroked his chin and combing through his beard in thought.

"hmm...the rough terrian will be long and hard on the men..and should our enemies attack we will be hard pressed. Talguard paused for a moment looking back down at the map. There are many goblins that inhabit that area as well, Though small they can proove very dangerious in many numbers."

Kain would look up from the map then while still leaning over the table with a frown. He was still dressed in his dark armor having never gotten the chance to take it off nor feeling the need to."...I know that... but I see no other way... I believe our men are strong enouph to brave it. We'll just need to march quickly and pass through it as discreetly as possible."

Talguard chuckled then. "Discreetly as possible you say? with a thousand men?..somehow I doubt that will be an easy feat to accomplish even for you who can defeat dragons."

Kain sighed then standing back up to his full height of 6'1
"I didn't defeat any dragons..I only defeated the summoner, the dragon dissapeared after that loosing its link to the mortal plains."

"That might be so, but how often do you have a single man rally his soilders to fight off a dragon! not to mention stand in its wake with its claws bearing down upon you." The general made a motion with his hands that would represent the dragons claws with an atempted ferocious face, which only cuased Kain to twitch in annoyance.

Rumors had spread quickly of the battle the night before of how Kain had defeated the dragon single handedly when the bolts and arrows of the soilders did nothing to harm the beast. Kain knew this was untrue and wanted no credit for such an overexagerated story.

"Now now calm down Kain I was only jokeing with ya."
Talguard said with another chuckle. It was always like this though, Talguard was more like a an older father to everyone and never took the job seriously dispite his renown reputation and expertise in battle.

"Why don't you get some rest Kain and have some fun with that Elven broad you took into your tent with ya last night. Heavens only knows you could use a little stress relief"

Kain would glare at Talguard at that but Talguard would only raise his hands up in defense. "Don't give me that look I was just jokeing with you again.... But seriously get some rest and maybe think more upon the elven girl thats waiting in your tent..I'm sure something will come to mind for you."

Back at Kains tent something stired from the doorway and a heavy soilder slowly steped into Kains tent with a smirk spreading across his face.

"I knew he would bring you here...That greedy bastard...He just wanted to keep you all for himself"

The man from lastnight whom had torn open her dress slowly moved closer closeing the gap between himself and Elemmire.

"Now that your awake this will be much more...enjoyable. And this time the generals not around to save you."

Elemmire stared at the approaching Soldier, her face blush red from the mere fact that one breast was bared, let alone the fact she was bound, and helpless.

Well, perhaps not helpless.

She had quickly figured out that the magic circling the tent was shielding magic, meant to protect the one within from a magical attack. It was dark, shadowed, to her eyes, those eyes deep inside her that is, she could almost *see* the sheild, hovering, pulsing, swirling, a darker form, that of the Protector, slowly slithering along the circle the Caster had traced in the dirt. To one without that magical intuition, they saw, sensed, felt nothing.

The man approaching her saw, sensed, felt, nothing.

The shield was not meant to cease the magic of one within the tent however. Altho it's darkness, and strength would hinder any within who tried to cast a spell of any kind. And in almost any normal circumstance, that shield would indeed work as intended.

But, Elemmire, first off was different. Her magic consisted of both light and dark, thanks to the mingling of blood, and power, that ran thru her veins. But even that would not break the shield that surrounded her, not in normal circumstances.

This was far from normal.

"Now that your awake this will be much more...enjoyable. And this time the generals not around to save you."

She did it almost without thinking. This time, as the sun as risen, it would not be dark magic she would wield to protect herself. No. This time she drew on the power of the light that shone overhead.

Ssussun d'lil sssiks, ssussun d' dro, doer ulu uns'aa, lu' mir uns'aa wun dosst sune
Light of the sun, light of life, come to me, and envelope me in your warmth

Outside, high above the encampment, another serpent formed. This did not quite look like a dragon, more of a pegasus, of nearly blinding light, with the head of a serpent, and a maw of lethal fangs. It came together in the light of the sun, as if the rays swirled and mingled to form the Beast. With a roar that shook the heavens, the magical Beast burst into flame.

The sound it made was one of a great wind, with a howl of rage intermingled.

Elemmire was trying to save herself, not free herself, hence her ability to summon even when encased within that dark shield. To her eyes, she could see her approaching Pegasus, licks of flame left in it's wake. Even the slithering shadow of the Protector paused and turned it's snake like head upwards. It would not allow the Pegasus past, and poised to battle the lighted, firey form if needed.

The flaming light that illuminated from the Beast nearly blinded any that looked upwards, and all saw it head straight for the tent of the General, General Kain. It would not attack the encampment, it would not even pause to take notice. This summoning was to save Elemmire, not kill others, other than the one who even now hesitated and looked back at the commotion that had erupted outside.

Elemmire kept chanting, knowing it would not be easy for her magic to break thru the darker that surrounded her.

Ssussun d'lil sssiks, ssussun d' dro, doer ulu uns'aa, lu' mir uns'aa wun dosst sune
Light of the sun, light of life, come to me, and envelope me in your warmth

The alarms would be the first to indicate something was amiss as the sentries spoted the flaming horse in the sky and sounded off the horns of alarm. Both Kain and the commander would raise their heads in question looking at each other first before rushing to the entrance of the tent to see what was going on.

Kain was the first to exit and had to immeditly cover his eyes as the bright light from the burning pegisus blinded him for a moment.

"What in the...what's going on now?"

Talguard poked his head out then covering his eyes as well.

"Well whatever it is it dosn't look very good, nor friendly. hmm dosn't seem to like you very much either"

From their postion on a hill that over looked the entire camp they could see Kains tent which on more then one occasion the flaming horse dive upon only to take off again right before it smashed into the tent.

"Damn it!" Kain cursed loudly to himself as he took off towards his tent at full speed.

As Kain took off Talguard would shout after him.

Hey Kain, let me know how things turn out! I'll be making some tea until you get back" Kain of course ignored this and continued running until dissapeared down the hill.

The old general turned then moving back into his tent with a thoughtful expression on his face. He knew Kain could handle it but he wasn't so sure he would be able to handle the girl.

"hmm it would seem that the elven girl has alot more spunk in her then we had initially thought.."

~~~~
The large soilder completely unaware of what was going on outside stoped for a moment as he heard the alarms. After a few seconds of concideration he then turned back to the already half naked elf before him and decided he didn't care at this point, whatever it was that caused the alarms to go off the other soidlers would deal with it and it may even buy him more time with the savage while the general investigated it as well.
As far as he saw he was concerned he had a beutiful elven chick tied up and just right for the plucking as he could tell she had recently come of age and haveing been with other young elven savages before her.
This one was diffrent however, this one was the most sexist savage he had ever seen and he'd be damn if he was going to let this oppertunity to fuck her slip through his finger tips to a man much younger then him.
He heard her words of magic but to him it was nothing but gibberish talk that annoyed the hell at of him and with one quick movement he slapped her across the face and then using a pecie of cloth he wraped around her head and over her mouth gaging her.
"There now...its annoying when you savages talk. Its better if you just stay quiet and take it like the dogs that you are. The only sound I want to hear from you are your muffled screams."
Pressing himself up against her then he finished what he started last night, tearing away the rest of her top to expose both of her flush rounded breast. He then rouphly took them into the palms of his hands rubbing and twisting her swelling nipples as his engorged cock rubbed up against her thigh. His awful breath was in her face and then along her neck as he started to rouphly kiss her soft flesh hungerly. He would take this elven girls virginity this day he thought and no one was going to stop him.
Her head snapping aside at the strike, her magical chant, needed to hold the Pegasus, to control it, ceased suddenly.
Already the magical entity was having trouble passing the dark barrier that surrounded the tent. The Soldiers outside seeing it veering off at the last moment, the image was strange to them, why was it doing that? They could not see the Protector, that slithering snake, hissing up at the attacking, flaming visage of the serpent horse.
Elemmire's intense concentration was broken, the words gasped and quieted. The firey Beast from hell, for that was what the Soldiers thought it was, a Beast from the very bowels of hell, sent to kill their General, reared up into the blinding sunlight, screaming, howling it's rage and confusion before it collasped in on itself and almost literally blew apart, showering sparks and licks of flame on the Soldiers below.
Elemmire screamed into the gag that was stuffed deep into her mouth. Her eyes wide in a absolute state of near terror. The Soldier ripping, exposing her even further, his dirty hands grabbing at her, his foul breath in her face. Kicking, writhing, squirming, she was trapped between that pole and the body of the Man intent on raping her. Violently she shook her head no, the word, muffled and quivering, being screamed from beneath the gag. But the only real sound that came out was a strangled groan, the sound almost could be mistaken as erotic.
She felt the rough tips of his thick fingers, pulling and rolling her nipples, both responding by warming, swelling, darkening even more. He kneaded and massaged her breasts, she crying now under the gag, tears flooding her eyes.
"calm down Elemmire" an inner voice whispered. "You can not chant to create what you need, find and use something that is already created" came the even calmer voice of her Father. "Use what is around you, if you can not use your own magic, manipulate another's"
The Soldier leaned into her, nuzzling along her neck, she feeling his mouth and lips kissing and suckling at the skin. She had to put out of her mind what he was doing to her, she had to, if she were to concentrate enough, to summon enough strength.
"Ahhhh good" she heard the Man growl in her ear "struggling will only make it worse for both of us" He knew he would have to be fairly quick with his taking of the Elven girl, Kain would not be gone from His tent forever. The last thing He wanted was to be caught in here.
Elemmire's eyes rolled back and closed. She willing herself to calm down, to not feel what was happening to her. To reach beyond, if she could.
The Soldier, thinking that she had resigned herself to the rape, like so many of the savages did, lowered his head, taking a nipple within his mouth. Elemmire shuddered at the feeling, she whimpering under the gag, but she managed to quickly pull back from the feeling of his mouth suckling, the warm pressure about that tender nipple. He moved from one to the other, biting, suckling, pulling it with his lips, grunting. It took all the will power she had not to scream out against that gag in pure despair at what was happening to her.
His hand, was what almost broke her concentration. He snaking it up under her torn skirt, thick fingers finding and ripping her undergarment. Her eyes snapped open, staring upwards. Oh god, he was going to..... going to touch her there.. NO.. NOOOO.
"ELEMMIRE, You will not save yourself if you panic, calm down." Again that voice of her Father. "Reach out to what is around you"
"Around you"
"what is around you"
THE PROTECTOR..
The Protector was already summoned, and was being held to this plain by another, not her. All she needed to do was call to It.
Kyorl l' yibin wund, Doer ulu ussta suul, Elgg nindel vel'bolen thrityhen uns'aa, Oloth piwafwi uns'aa, Ssa dormagyn uns'aa
See the weak within, Come to my side, Destroy that which attacks me, Darkness cloak me, Serpent save me
The words formed within her quieted mind, calling out to that which already was created, that which could be manipulated to help her. It was a Protector, It was to protect the tent and what lay within. She lay within. She was being attacked.
The words formed, a glittering light that danced for a moment about both her and the Soldier who was still feasting on her breasts. It then slipped out and wound around the Dark slithering shadow, beckoning it within. It turned, hissing deeply, a sound only she, she and Kain, would hear. Kain would be the only other one that could command the slithering shadow, for He was it's summoner.
Elemmire fought to keep her mental connection to the shadow outside, even as the Soldier's fingers began a horrible, obscene stroking of her virginal sex. It would be a losing battle if she did not draw that beast in here in the next moment or two, for even now her whole body shook at the sensation. A sensation of disgust and shame.
"ppplease nooo" she managed to choke out behind the gag, not that this Man would show her any mercy.
The soilder was in near heaven, enjoying the scent, the touch, the sound of the whithering elven savage beneath him as he continued his rape of her body. His filithy fingers slowly parting her shamefully wet virgin lips and then...
And then He suddenly paused,
the presense of a great entity forming behind him with a faint hissing sound that sent the coldest chill he had ever felt down his back.
He then reared back, turning himself around his eyes widening in terror at the image of a giant black Cobra appearing before him as it attacked him with its maw opened so wide it could consume him in a single strike.
The Soilders fell backwards in surprise, his back slaming against Elemmire's naked body in a useless attempt to get away.
Just as the snake was about to sink its fangs into the soilders flesh the image of the cobra vanished like a thick smoke, instead replaced with the image of the Kain as he seemed to follow through with the snakes attack.
For a breif moment the soilder was relieved to see the snake go when suddenly their was a flash of metal and a hot burst of pain and blood exploded from his right ear as Kain lopped it off.
AGHHHH WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!
The man screamed holding the right side of his head were his ear used to be.
"That's your punishment for failing to listen to my orders." Kain replied coldly his sapphire eyes burning in a silent rage.
"If your not going to listen I see little reason as to why you should keep your ears.
Now get out! if I catch you in here again or even looking in here I'll be taking your other ear and then your life."
Too much in shock and in pain the man simply stood and stumbled out of the tent his hand pressed hard against the side of his head as he tried to stop the bleeding and only making a trail of blood.
Kain sighed lightly then watching the man leave. It had been close, another second more and his guardian would of devoured him giving him a fate far worse then death and in a sense the man had been lucky not often did humans see the serpent when it was attacking and manged to escape with their lives. The lost of his ear was his own fault however.
Having seen the elven girl naked he knew what had been transpireing here and quickly sheithed his sword moving over to grab a blanket of fur and place it over the girls naked body, trying his best not to stare at her attractive form for too long as it was already haveing an affects on him from below his belt which thankfully at the moment he was wearing his armor hiding his arousal.
After drapeing the fur blanket over her shoulders he then removed the cloth gag and spoke lightly in elvish tongue which was a little choppy since he was unable to mimic the exact musical tone of the elven race.
Teh~sate~kay?
You alright?
Everything had happened so fast, the Guardian, a dark shape, hissing, striking, only to be banished by the One other who could control It, It's Creator.
A moment later and the Soldier was screaming, bleeding, and stumble running out of the tent, cursing under his breath she was sure.
Her own breath having been knocked out of her when he had fallen back against her, her concentration having been on the Guardian and trying to keep it under enough control to not attack her, since she was not It's Creator, it took her a moment of blinking her eyes back into focus and gasping when the horrible gag was removed to calm down, and not scream herself. She managed to stay silent, looking up at the advancing Soldier, He tossing a fur blanket over her to cover her very obvious nakedness.
Elemmire stared up at Him, her golden eyes focusing on His sparkling sapphire blue, before roaming over His face. He did not look like a demon, even tho she knew He was the Demonic Soldier that had struck down her Father. He looked more human than the monster that had tried to rape her.
Teh~sate~kay? You alright?
His voice was deep, and the words a bit rough, but He commanded the language well for being human, she thought.
Swallowing slowly... "Usstan tlun tahta, yvalm, lu' plyussq, drill Usstan tlun naut jivviim" I am scared, bound, and captive, but I am not harmed.
She then spoke His own language, she having learned to speak in the human tongue when she was very young. Her Father having taught her, He having learned it. surprisingly, from a human friend. He had found it was much easier to barter in the various villages of humans when one could speak their language fluently.
"He did not violate me, Your Guardian and You prevented that, for that I thank You"
She wanted to beg Him to release her, but she already knew that would not happen, so why beg? Why show Him that weakness? No, she would remain calm and hope that indeed He was as honorable a Man as He had already show, at least for now.
"May I, may I know my Captor's name?" she looked away then, letting her eyes fall to His boots. "I am called Elemmire"
She did this for a reason. If He saw her as a living, breathing, feeling, intelligent being, maybe, just maybe, He would show her mercy.
"I am called Elemmire"
Kain nodded lightly, glad that she had the ability to speak common making things alot more easier in the long run for the both of them.
"Greetings then Elemmire my name is Sir Lockheart the seventh Dark knight of the Alcury army...but you can simply call me Kain if you wish for I care little for such long titles."
He then sat up from his kneeling position and made his way over to a table where a pitcher of water stood and poured some into a glass cup.
Though she was a captive and tied up he still wanted her to feel as comfortable as possible, especially with the intentions the captain and himself had in store for her.
He then turned around and offered the drink up to her.
"Thirsty?"
His sapphire eyes looked back into her own as he asked and deep within those dark pools of his eyes Elemmire could see that his kindness was genuine. Though to what ends she still wouldn't be able to tell and it still didn't change the fact that it had been he who had murdered her father and dozens of other sun elves, for he was still the demon knight from the night before.
"Thirsty?"
She was thirsty, very thirsty, but still watched Him warily as He first poured, and then offered her the water.
Her eyes met His, she searching within. This was not the Demonic Fighter she had seen just hours ago. Oh it was, she knew it was Him, His face would be burned into her memory forever. But why was He being so kind now? And why, did she see that very kindness, that compassion, flickering in His eyes? He was not offering her that water to fool her, or to hurt her. He was offering it because He knew she had to be thirsty, that she was scared and alone and would not beg for it herself.
"yes, thank.... thank You Kain" His name rolled gently off her tongue in her soft, butterfly light voice.
She drank when He held the cup to her lips, welcoming the cool flow of water down her throat.
Her eyes and His stared within. He was so close to her, she could feel His breathing, as she looked deeper into His gaze.
He was magical, she could see the dark magic that flowed deep inside Him. She was powerless against Him, here in His domain. His Guardian once more slithered along the perimeter, ready to strike. She could not manipulate One's own spell to hurt the Caster. Just as He could not have used her Night Dragon to attack her.
She was weakened, exhausted, helpless, and most of all scared. Fear had a bad tendancy to weaken magic considerably.
He allowed her to drink her fill before pulling the cup from her lips. Her eyes never left Him as He stood.
"I, I can see the kindness in Your eyes. It contradicts what festers within Your men" She whispered. "It contradicts what I saw of You only hours before, when You took the life of my Father."
The tears she had fought for what felt like forever threatened again, but she managed to hold them back. "What is it Your Kingdom seeks that it must destroy all in it's path?"
She was in no position to question Him, and Elemmire knew that, but she was struggling to understand and cope with what had happened to her, and what would happen to her, a question she was still to afraid to even ask of Kain.
"I, I can see the kindness in Your eyes. It contradicts what festers within Your men" Kain heard her say quietly "It contradicts what I saw of You only hours before, when You took the life of my Father."
He took her fathers life? Kain wasn't too surprised as he had killed many sun elves the night before, but it also ment that things may become complicated with his future plans for her. Deep within the pit of his stomach he also felt a slight twing of guilt having taken this elfs father from her.
Stareing deeply into her eyes he suddenly reconized and knew whom her father had been and saw the old elfs eyes refect through her own. Her unconsious form having been discovered close by was further proof of this.
He held his tongue for a moment trying to pick his words carefully.
"...I know no kind of apology can ever lead you or your people to forgive us for what we have done. But all I can say is your father died swiftly with little pain and was quite honorable if not rather foolish in choosing his battle."
"What is it Your Kingdom seeks that it must destroy all in it's path?"
Such a question was a sore topic for even Kain but he was a loyal soilder he anwsered with the same reason he was given.
"Our Kingdom at first sought revenge for the murder of our late king. Stabed to death in his sleep by an elven dagger. Now our goal is to expand our empire welcomeing those who wish to join our cause while crushing anyone who would stand against our kingdom. We wish to create union with everyone to end all wars and bring peace no matter the cost. That is our reasons and our cause."
Now our goal is to expand our empire welcomeing those who wish to join our cause while crushing anyone who would stand against our kingdom. We wish to create union with everyone to end all wars and bring peace no matter the cost. That is our reasons and our cause."
She could only stare up at Him. Her golden eyes were wide, as if seeing something she could not believe.
"You, You seek revenge for the murder of Your King, without even considering WHO may have committed such an act? Did it never occurr to You Barbarians that You could have sought counsel with us? More than likely my people could have TOLD You from whence the dagger came." she paused, the whole of her form trembling. "Your excuse to create a union with others and bring peace" she almost wanted to spit at Him, using such an excuse to slaughter so many, but instead could only stare into His eyes "Your eyes tell me that is only what has been told to You, and even You do not believe it, Kain"
It was obvious that Elemmire did not think that any of her own people, she considering the Sun Elves to be her people, even if they did tend to scorn her for her mingled blood, she could not consider that any of the Sun Elves would have done such a heinous act as kill someone in their sleep.
She went silent. She knew she had potentially said too much, but Elemmire was not one to keep her mouth shut, even when she knew she should.
"Forgive my tongue" she whispered, wondering if that compassion she had seen in those eyes would be replaced with that Demon she had seen the night prior.
There was no way to protect herself in here, no Night Dragon, No flaming Pegasus, no Guardian. Not with Kain in here, not with the power of His own abilities overshadowing her own, because she were in His Domain.
She was shaking so violently that the fur blanket covering her began to slip free, the swell of one breast visable, the nipple peaking out over the edge of the blanket.
Kain watched her carefully as he spoke noting her surprised reaction at his kingdoms reasons for declareing war on practicly everyone.
"You, You seek revenge for the murder of Your King, without even considering WHO may have committed such an act? Did it never occurr to You Barbarians that You could have sought counsel with us? More than likely my people could have TOLD You from whence the dagger came."
Kain frowned at that and she would notice the sudden seriousness that crossed his sapphire eyes.
"You have little right to say anything for you wern't there when it happend.
It was obvious enouph to us whom the dagger belonged too for when we found it the assasin had also left many clues in his mad rush to escape. We know it was an elven dagger and we also know that many of our neiboring nations despised the king for trying to unite the kingdoms. And if you belive we didn't attempt to seek councel from the other nations then your a fool. The other nations refused to even speak to us after the incident so we did the only thing we could. We crushed them. Crushed them all for treating us like dirt and murdering our king.
Kains eyes softened again as he closed them and continued to listen to Elemmire, he wasn't angry with her though again the topics she brought up were sore to him.
"Your eyes tell me that is only what has been told to You, and even You do not believe it, Kain"
Wheather I belive it or not I am but a soilder it dosn't matter what I think. My loyaty is to the Alcury kingdom and my supirior officers. If they wish to bring about peace through war then I will follow so long as its within reason and benifits our kingdom."
"Forgive my tongue"
He noded lighlty showing that he did forgive her but then noticed that she was shaking violently, not from coldness but rather from overwhelming fear of him and what he may do to her. His sapphire eyes moved downwards along her entraped half naked body outlineing every attractive curve and dip of her feminin form and watched quietly as one of her lush breast sliped out from under the fur cloth exposing her tender virgin nipple. With a blank expression Kain would lean forward then allowing his warm hands and finger tips to suddenly slide past the furs and gently graze against the flesh of her smooth skin and ribcage just below her breast.
She instantly stilled at the touch, even her breath went quiet in that moment. His fingertips were warm, lightly tickling along the so very sensative flesh. Elemmire was a total virgin, she had never been touched by a man until that Soldier had groped her and tried to rape her.
But this touch was ..... different.... But she could not quite define what that meant.
Her eyes stared into His, but what she saw spooked her more than the touch, even more than the groping of the previous Soldier. She saw a blank expression, as if all the life had left Him. She wondered for the breif moment, if that were the same look He had in His eyes when He slaughtered her father on that hillside.
Squirming, a whispered "please, please Kain, don't" came begging past her lips.
But again, that touch was different. Was it the beginning of a lovers touch? The caress that a Man gives a woman when they are about to consumate their lives together?
Had it been another, she would have screamed, she would have summoned the slithering Guardian once more to attack, to protect, to save her. Instead she was begging Him to cease, and hoping, beneath that blank expression, that He would.
Her squirming, in the meantime, had caused the fur blanket to slip down a bit more, exposing both her breasts now. Those perfect swells quivering slightly as she trembled once more, the nipples darkening in color, tender and swollen, as if beckoning His touch, even as she begged Him not to.
"..please, please Kain, don't"
Kain continued dispite her protest letting his hands slide around her slender waist and even past allowing his face and lips to be mere inches away from her own. His warm breath caressed her skin trigering goosebumps all along her flesh as the air around them started to grow warm with the heated sensuality of the moment. His hands finally reached her wrist and a then a clicking sound was heard.
"Relax...like I said I'm not like the others." he said backing away from her as the ropes that had her bound fell to the floor releaseing her. Bringing her arms forward Elemmire would notice a golden bangle with runes carved in it now decorated her wrist.
"It's obvious your a spell caster what with the summoned creature just a few moments ago. The bangle won't harm you but it will prevent you from casting any more spells until I remove it so don't bother tring.
He stood up tall again looking down at her.
"Sorry to say but my people don't trust you and we'll be needing your knowedge of the area to help us."
He was so close to her, she could feel the warmth of His breath ever so gently caress her lips, along the curve of her jaw, lightly gliding down along her throat. The sensation causing her to tremble, a deep quivering of her body, not in fear, not because of a chill, that deeper soft shudder of an unspoken desire.
Why? Why would she feel this? He was the enemy, He had killed her Father.
"Relax...like I said I'm not like the others."
No, He was not like the others. Most Soldiers were brutal men, simple minded, caring not for life, only for blood and death and the glory that comes from such mindless killing. No, He was not that brutal a man. Even Elemmire knew that He killed her Father because her Father chose to fight. Her Father chose to fight to protect her. Someone had to die. Her Father was the loser of that particular battle.
She felt His hands slip around her trembling form and a moment later the thick ropes were no longer biting into her wrists. He stepped back from her, and the heat that had been building around them dissapated.
"It's obvious your a spell caster what with the summoned creature just a few moments ago. The bangle won't harm you but it will prevent you from casting any more spells until I remove it so don't bother trying. "
The golden bracelet sparkled against her wrist. The runes engraved within seeming to thrum softly, a deep almost penetrating sound. She could feel the slither of power from just those runes, curling around her arm, snaking upwards to spiral a tendril about her throat. She knew then, if she tried to cast, tried to summon, the magic of those runes would tighten, silencing her, and more than likely, slowly killing her. No, the bracelet and runes would not harm her unless she disobeyed Him and tried to use her magic.
He indeed possessed very dark magic.
"what, what are You that you command such horrific magic as this?" she asked, before she could silence the words. She did not want to anger Him, no, but she needed to know Who and What she was dealing with. It was the only way she herself could get a handle on surviving.
Her Father's words came back to her once again "Learn your enemy"
She canted her head slightly aside as she watched Him, her long golden blonde hair slipping forward a bit and down over her smooth shoulder to hide one of her exposed breasts from His sight.
