After 3 years of conventional warfare and another 2 years of bombardment and siege, Ohio's successful negotiations to rejoin the Union under the auspices of the Republican Front have resulted in the capture of Cincinnati, the capital and last stronghold of the Evangelical Commonwealth. The state is once more under one flag and part of the USA.
Now, of course, the cost of so much fratricidal conflict and bitter resistance is seen in the rubble of a once great citadel. The final offensive that put an end to the war resulted in debris from collapsed buildings, pockmarks on surviving structures, and empty bullet cartridges and mortar and other kinds of artillery shells. Burned-out hulks of armor remind the locals that tanks rumbled through their streets just days ago.
But it's over. Ohio's star is back in the Federal constellation, the Buckeye State fully restored to the Union. The State Provisional Government has been kept in place, with the requirement that top officials join the Republican Front and swear allegiance to its leader, Col. Simon Lomax, the country's new benevolent dictator.
And the soldiers of the Republican Front Militia and the Ohio National Guard link up with each other at last. And both get to enjoy the spoils of war, while those die-hard insurgents who weren't already killed have been sent off to Manhattan or DC, to experience Hell on Earth in the penal colonies there.
They also eye the Kentucky border cautiously, knowing that it hasn't joined yet.
Need some Militia and Ohio National Guardsmen....(and women), as well as locals.
People who are ready to have some post-liberation fun after 5 years of life under a brutal theocracy.
I'll play Captain Saul Slater of the Republican Front Militia. He's got a job to do, but he also wants to find women ready to let their hair down after years of puritanical sex laws.
