Fag Hag vs. Myke?

We are all familiar with the term fag hag and the various degrees to which these women infiltrate the lives of the gay men they love, but is there something similar in our lesbian world? Would they be called 'Mykes'? Are they called anything, or is it merely acceptable that men love lesbians, and therefore there is no description for them.

Have any women here had any experiences with men who are similar to that of the fag hag? What have they been?

I've never heard the term myke but I have heard of fag stags and dyke tykes.

Probably because I made it up. I couldn't think of a term, but thanks for the couple you've given me.

I find it interesting though, from a feminist perspective, that even here the semiotic references to females are more derogatory than the male references referring to something similar.

Thought it might make an interesting article from a fresh perspective to look at what appears on the surface to be a specifically gay male only issue. Wondered if lesbians had a similar issue, and if so, why isn't it discussed in main stream media. Perhaps because of what I have stated. It's perfectly acceptable for straight men to behave (like a fag hag for want of a better term) toward lesbians, but not especially acceptable for straight women to be this way toward gay men (in this context)?

Hm.

frankly my dear, simply because men are gay does not remove all stamps of sexism.

in fact sometimes I find they intensify. SOMETIMES, do not lop my dick off, boys. :)

I see several men at the lesbian bar who are straight, and are there all the time. I wonder why they are not at the straight bar trying to get laid? Men seem to like a best friend who is a lesbian.

No question about it. Some of the ugliest remarks I have ever heard about women have been made by gay men.

I have also heard some incredibly misogynistic remarks. The term "breeder" comes to mind.

I have heard gay men say things like "I wont go near anything that bleeds for three days and doesnt die" and crap like that.

There are assholes in every group.
