How can you tell? Serious question. When someone spots and points out a "tell" or however one describes an AI fault, I can see it. But without some "training" I don't know how to find it myself. If you think this belongs on a different thread, please let me know which one. Apologies to the OP.

It varies from one image to the next. In this case, the tells that jumped out at me were
  1. Exaggerated color definition
  2. Extreme detail on all parts of the photo. There's no softening of detail in points outside the focal point of the image, or outside what would be the focal length of a natural camera.*
  3. Unnaturally sharp edges to all parts of the image. This is what would have been called, in the old days of Photoshop and Illustrator, vector imaging rather than pixel imaging.
*(Edit: or to put it another way, it's as if the image has no focal point. All points are in focus simultaneously.)

Thanks so much. I guess I should look for a class on this at the local community college LOL. I do see that the sofa is as well defined as her face, something you wouldn't get with a lensed/aperture camera unless you stopped it down to f22 and added a lot of lighting or something. And the color brilliance is something most of us would have adjusted with software or developing variations. Curious that the drapes are a bit fuzzy but the wallpaper is sharper. I suppose inconsistencies is an umbrella term for all those things that give it away. Thanks again.
