Face or Body?

I was having a discussion with a group of friends last night and this topic came up. It is one I have been a part of in the past and will use those discussions as examples of my thought process in creating this thread.

Are you more attracted to someone's face or someone's body?

I know this is a superficial question but we live in a superficial society. There is so much more that makes one attractive - personality, sense of humor, confidence, intelligence and much more. I understand this and am not a superficial person. The discussion last night made me stop and think about life and I thought it might be a good discussion for those on Literotica.

My examples are as follows:

1. I worked as a bartender years ago. A male server told me of a discussion the male employees had concerning the females who worked there. They were debating over who was the most attractive female working there and had narrowed it down to two girls.

Both girls were very beautiful, both inside and out. They were both very similar in looks with blond hair and blue eyes. One girl worked out religiously and had a nice muscular figure with large breasts while the other was toned but curvy with smaller breasts. The muscular girl was pretty but the curvy girl had flawless facial features.

There was never an agreement on the winner and he stated it was because the muscular female was seen as having a better body and the other had a prettier face. He told me most guys preferred one over the other.

2. I was at a strip club one evening with my boyfriend at the time. There was one stripper who had an amazing body and I struck up a conversation with her about nothing in general.

During our conversation, another girl had begun to dance on stage. She was very beautiful but didn't have quite the body of the girl talking with me. As she danced there were many men coming to the stage to tip her.

I could tell the stripper with me was annoyed by the attention the one dancing was receiving. She finally shook her head and told me how the one on stage made more money than any of the other girls in the club. I complimented the girl sitting with me. I complimented her beauty and even stated how awesome her body was.

Her reply was one I will never forget. She said to me, "She has the face. It is the face that the men want and the body comes second."

This is where my curiosity lies and the reason for this post.

Interesting and a lot of it rings true. I believe it's a often the body that you notice first, but a beautiful face is the clincher

Hi englishgent,

Speaking of faces, are you sporting any stubble today?

You know how I love it! ;)

Hi englishgent,

It's always 5 o'clock on my face, glad to hear there are ladies who love it. Of course I've had women ask me to shave for them, one told me she'd love me to go down on her but not till i shaved, I think she was afraid our hair would interlock and i'd be trapped down there forever...although i guess that wouldn't be all that bad...

Interesting subject. For me it's the face first always but then again, perhaps first before anything is the charisma. Some handsome men are not all that interesting therefore become less appealing and some less handsome ones are that intiguing that their charm wins over beauty. But of course, on a stranger, I look at the face first. :)

My attraction starts with the mind. I am attracted more to ladies that are not uptight about being real. Willing to express themselves truthfully and with out shame or embarrassment. I have the tendency to be a smart ass most times, so I appreciate a woman who is also. A body and/or face is not as important as a mind.
Communication is my weakness.

Mind. The man can have the most attractive face and be built like Vin Diesel, but if I cannot respect his intelligence, or be intellectually allured, then I turn cold.

However, between a body and a face, I would say face; eyes cannot lie, and the face holds the character of the person. I know what I like in a body, but the face shows the strength and the soul of the person.

I am weird I suppose, but the first thing I notice is the woman's hair....some hair styles do nothing for me at all...others simply rivet my attention...

Once I see the hair and it excites me, I look at the face...body is last....

Are you more attracted to someone's face or someone's body?

I have to say face first, because you don't often see what is under their clothing. I love a persons eyes. The gateway into their mind :)

:kiss::rose:

I always have a hard time answering questions like this because it always seems to vary from person to person. Sometimes I notice the face first, other times the body. I notice whatever seems to be most noticeable on that person. I know that's a silly sentence, but I don't think there's anything about me that tends to notice one thing or another on someone else. It's similar for attraction. Different aspects of a person, be they physical characteristics or personality/emotional/mental factors, could all be attractive. I've found many different women attractive for so many different reasons that I even hesitate to say I have a type.

As for the original OP, I'm not surprised that the girl with the prettier face was getting more of the attention, but I think you'll always find plenty of men on both sides of the fence.

I've seen guys with hot bodies and have thought "Wow, what a hottie." And then I'll see their face and think "Whooops, never mind."

If a guy is attractive facially then I don't care if his body isn't an Adonis. I don't resemble Barbie, so why should I expect a guy to have a certain body type?

To answer the topic of the thread and ignoring all other factors: face.

lothwen pretty much took the words right out of me! Absolutey agree with this :)

I would have to say the face eyes especially but it's the person behind all that that is most attractive.
A person's personality can make them attractive just because someone has a pretty/handsome face or a hot body doesn't mean instant attraction (for me anyway)
I've spoken with plenty guys****** who have great physique and great looking faces but alot have no substance to their personality *yawn*
Looks fade but what's inside stays :)

Of course, but the question was "Face or Body." So I say Face, but personality is the ultimate deal breaker.

Great point. If they aren't facing you then there is usually something bodywise that holds your attention long enough until they turn in your direction.

So true...the *yawn* says it all....

Looks like we're all coming round to face first but body a close second, which fits gene-profiling selection process. A good body can be the result of nuture and environment, but a face reflects the strength of our genes.
I reckon I can judge a person from 100 yards by their walk... but that's another topic.
Good question :)

Interesting...I haven't thought of it like that.

I know a set of male identical twins. When they were younger you couldn't tell them apart. The years have been more kind to one over the other physically. While there faces still look the same, you would definitely notice the one with the better body first if they were to walk into a room together. They both have awesome personalities, which are completely opposite, and I find them both attractive in different ways.

For me it's always the face initially, but then it all depends on the personality which usually then changes my view of their appearance too somehow

As far as the body's concerned, I don't really have a preference. Everyone's unique so why have a particular taste.....too limiting.
