I've been told my eyes are very expressive. Part of why I tend to reference "visual cues" in writing.... I do it myself.
So, Brit- any thoughts on which of us must be the evil one?![]()

After seeing that last picture in the "in the mood" thread... I think you could totally rock pink hair, lily.
I dunno about Pink, FD...
...But I am debating Blue....
Okay...so...it's not my face...but my body.
I'm still too shy.
But...i'd figure I'd do something.
Won't be up for long.
>.<

Being dark skinned isn't the greatest around here.
Well, you should talk to me a few times a day then. You know. Till you get tired of hearing it.Thank you Nina! That makes my day. I don't get told that very much.
It's amazing that in 2012 people are still made to feel that way. It's amazing that it's 2012 and you can still say that.

Ha. I know.
I will probably take you up on that.
You know?
It's funny because it's people who are african american too that say it. I live in MS. Basically...the lighter you are, the prettier you are. I've gone through a lot of ridicule and attacking and things...offline, and online, and physically and mentally, about being a dark skinned girl. Even worst is that I'm from Wisconsin, so I speak very proper like? And...it was horrible. I'll just say that.
I was happy to graduate.

CK...kitteh you are gorgeous. I have seen your face. I know.
Nuff said.
sociatle expectation is a mother fucker. Here in the states were supposed to be so evolved. Yea. no. I'm a tiny white girl. I have been chased out of stores because I was shoping in the wrong section of the store. or in the wrong damned store. Hell My ex husband was pissed when he finally took a look around the bath room (we had gone shopping - in the wrong section of the store) and he noticed that all my skin care, bathing and hair care products were not white enough for him.
Thats really common everywhere. I mean, in any group thats made to feel second class, you end up with stratification within that group. Lighter skinned, more/less masculine/feminine, religion, class, etc, etc, etc.
No one wants to feel like they are at the bottom, so they create new levels etc.
Sadly, as satisfying as that can be, it divides the group, which makes any real change that much more difficult.
