I appreciate the perspective. From my end, though, 26 has marked the end of an era.

- I can no longer stay for the entire game of Monday Night Football and function well at work the next morning. I leave just before halftime.

- I can't drink an entire night and escape the consequences the morning after.

- Instead of parties and bars, my friends and I have dinners and BBQ's.

- My weekly poker game went from tournament style to dimes and nickle cash-games.

- Fucking an 18 year old girl is no longer something I'm comfortable laughing about, let alone actually considering.

- Dating considerations now include a woman's financial situation, her profession, and the ability to help me keep my house meticulously neat. It used to be limited to how much fun she was to be around and her cup-size.

- The kids, kids, on MTV shows now look terribly young.

- At least once everytime I am out with friends someone says, "Do you remember back in college when _______?"

- Instead of checking sports websites and porn websites at work, in that order, I now check my 401k, Portfolio, Bank Accounts, Sports Pages and I am no longer courageous enough to check porn sites while at work.

A lot has changed. I don't long for the old days so much as recognize the difference between now and then.

pffst!! 26 is young, with a capital Y!! A great age to be!! Most of the things you mention LI are just maturing, growing up. It'd be sad to still behave like you did at 18, when you get to mid twenties!

Personally, I'd love to be 26 again! Give yourself another decade and you'll look back and think how young you were at 26!!
