This is another shot at a RP based on the Fable games. We'd take the form of recently awakened Heroes in the world of Albion. Though, this is an AU:

In ancient times, a powerful magic-bearer named William Black rose up and united Albion in what is now known as the Old Kingdom. This great empire lasted for many centuries, but it eventually crumbled apart due to the constant feuds among the royal family. Soon the once great Old Kingdom was a loose network of scattered city-states with stretches of lawless land in between.

In the centuries after the fall of the Old Kingdom, a man named Nostro -- one of the descendants of the royal family -- gathered a group of benevolent magic-bearers and formed the Heroes' Guild. For centuries more, the Guild helped promote peace and harmony between the city-states.

About six-hundred years ago, people were starting to get fed up with the increasing corruption among the Heroes. A great Hero from the village of Oakvale tried to right the wrongs of the Guild and restore it's former glory, but his efforts were in vain -- an angry mob ultimately rushed the Guild and burnt it to the ground. The Heroes that survived went into hiding.

Five hundred years later, the world thought all Heroes were long dead, and most of the people that were descended from them had no knowledge of their dormant power. An exception to this was Garth Samarkand, who's family had refused to let their magic die. Garth was a very talented Hero, and ended up taking a young man named Lucien Fairfax as his apprentice. They traveled the world together and sought long-lost treasures, eventually returning to Albion.

Unfortunately, while exlporing an ancient labyrinth under the deserts of Aurora, Lucien awakened a collective of demons from their slumber -- the Shadow Court. He fled the tomb and returned to Garth, swearing to himself to keep what he had done a secret. Little good it did, for the Shadows were in his head and gradually turned him down a dark path. He began hunting down Heroes with dormant powers, and killing them to absorb their strength, with the eventual goal to gather enough energy to release the Shadows from their underground prison.

Two young orphans named Sparrow and Rose were the next to be summoned to Bowerstone Castle, and while Rose did die, Garth managed to save Sparrow, having realized what was going on. There was a huge magic battle in the castle and courtyard between Garth and Lucien, but he managed to escape with the young Sparrow.

Garth had been tipped off by a blind seeress named Theresa about Lucien's true motives, and traveled to the gypsy camp where she resided with the boy in tow. It was agreed that Theresa would raise the boy while Garth tried to gather more Heroes to stand against Lucien. He would then return and train Sparrow.

After ten years, Garth had yet to return, but Sparrow had discovered his magic on his own, having trained himself to a certain degree. Theresa sent him out into the world to find Garth, and he managed to discover a few other Heroes on his journeys. The group of them discovered that Garth had been captured by Lucien and imprisoned a few years earlier. They managed to free him, and together, they foiled Lucien's plans and caused him to lose grip on the energy he had stolen.

With Lucien trapped in prison, Sparrow was crowned the new Lord of Bowerstone, and he led a campaign to reunite Albion into a single kingdom again. He appointed the other Heroes as his top generals and advisors, and together they brought Albion into a new golden age. They created Brightwall Academy to train new Heroes, and Garth was chosen as Headmaster.

Fifty years later, their grandchildren (our chars) become the focus of the story.

Like I said, this story is a little different. In this version, Logan is the only child of King Sparrow, and he is much older than in Fable III. I will play him and his 19-year-old son, Elias. To start, our characters are all Heroes just finishing up their Sixth Year at Brightwall Academy under the very elderly Headmaster Garth and his team of professors. Usually, the children of Heroes attend the Academy the first September after they turn 13 and complete seven years, graduating when they are 19 or 20, depending on their birthday.

The Academy is just north of Brightwall Village, where the students usually go after classes and on weekends. Beyond the village is Mistpeak Valley, and in the low-lying areas are a forest and lake the students frequent as well. At first, this land is safe and everything is at peace. The students are happy when the school year starts, and we'll have some time to develop friendships and romances.

When they go home for Summer Break, things begin to change. Elias is happy to be back at the castle and to see his dad Logan, his grandfather Sparrow, and good friend and mentor Walter. However, the fun is cut short when Theresa shows up and tells Sparrow and Logan that they need to return to the Shadow Court's tomb to prevent another diaster from occuring. Walter is put in charge of the kingdom temporarily, and Sparrow and Logan depart.

The rest of the summer tries Elias's nerves, as his father and grandfather are missing. By the end of summer, everyone thinks Sparrow and Logan must have died. Walter is making plans to pass the crown to Elias, when Logan finally reappears. He looks aged and worn, and explains the Aurorans captured them, tortured them, and killed Sparrow. Logan managed to escape, and now wants revenge. He has with him another Hero named Nathaniel Reaver, who had helped him escape.

Logan takes the crown from Walter, and immediately appoints Reaver as his main advisor. Walter can tell something is up, but keeps his mouth shut for the time being. Elias returns to the Academy for his Seventh Year, but soon he starts to hear rumors about his father being an unjust king. During Winter Break, he can tell King Logan has grown darker, but Walter urges him not to get involved. Tensions rise as Logan raises taxes to fund a bigger army to invade Aurora.

In the weeks after returning to school from Winter Break, Elias and his friends can tell things are getting worse. Because of Logan's crackdown, many people are in poverty, causing crime to spike. One night when Elias and his friends stay out at the lake too late, they get attacked by bandits. From this point on, bandits become a real problem.

By the time Elias graduates and returns to the castle, things are worse than ever. People are starving and poor, and the castle grounds are crawling with new soldiers. Most families have no choice but to send all their males to join the army just to survive. Shortly after returning home, Elias sees his father react harshly and brutally to protesters in the courtyard, causing him to attack Logan.

King Logan is shocked to see his own son attack him, but quickly subdues him. He charges Elias with treason and sentences him to death, but Walter and Garth manage to free him. From here, they flee the castle, gather the other player characters, and spark a rebellion.

The characters find out that the Aurorans did not kill Sparrow, but Reaver did, who is an agent of the Shadow Court. He brainwashed Logan into thinking this. When the revolution comes to Logan's doorsteps, he tries to get his father to listen to reason, but it is pointless. Elias ends up killing his father and takes the crown, but it is too late to stop Reaver -- as planned, the new soldiers become hosts to Shadows.

In what is called the Shadow Wars, Elias and the characters try desperately to stop the Shadow Court, which eventually, they do. They cleanse the Shadows from the soldiers, but then they all occupy Reaver, creating a true monster. They are able to defeat him, and Theresa takes him to a small island off the coast where she erects a giant black tower around him, keeping him in temporal stasis. This comes to be called the Dark Spire, and since the Shadow Court is occupying Reaver, they share his prison.

Wow. Quite long-winded. Anyone interested?

That's interesting and I am interested to discover your fable games. It would be more enjoyable when it is more popular.

Well Fable is one of the best RP games that I have ever played and guess who always ends up with a halo and white hair. Yup me. So I'm interested, but it seems that when I show interest in Jeff's RP ideas, nobody wants to join. Maybe I'll just state that I'm interested and shut up further.

No, it's nobody's fault, just a lack of interested players with the time to play, lol.

I`ve played Fable I and Fable II, but not Fable III (though I really want to). I would like to try this out. I`ll think about what my character will be like and post his stats later.

My Character

NAME: Avellan Evendur
AGE: 19
GENDER: MALE
APPEARENCE: Weighing 141 lb and standing 5' 11", Avellanlooks like a scrawny person. He doesn`t have much muscle, but he`s quick and alert. He has pale skin, straight black hair, and blue eyes. He wears dark colored clothing to help him blend in with the shadows.
PERSONALITY: Avellan is shy and quiet around strangers, and is nervous when they try to socialize with hm. However he`s open and cheerful when with friends. He loves using his Will abilities when in combat. He`s highly interested in Old Kingdom history, ruins, and culture and adapting them with the modern time technology.
ABILITIES: Avellan specializes in Will (Chaos and Raise Dead), he also has some skills in Skill (Speed and Accuracy).
HISTORY: Avellan went to the academy when it was descovered he had the blood of heroes within him. He loved the history of the Heroes and hoped to write his name within the Chronicles of History. He mainly kept to himself, reading ancient tombs and scrolls. Some said the stuff he research and way he learned was abnormal and wrong. He has gained only a few friends within the Academy and he`s highly loyal to them.

Fable III is by far the best, and it's an awesome game, but I was very dissapointed with the story. Never played Fable I, but I beat Fable II like four times and Fable III three times. While the exploring, combat, and quests in Fable III are awesome, the story is seriously lacking depth. While cutscenes and awesome dialogue are abound, and the first half of the game is much more rich, the last few chapters and the endgame content leaves much to be desired. Like, seriously. I was so excited about the game, and when I beat it the first time, I almost wanted to cry because the story left me so unsatisfied.

The gameplay was so awesome though, so I went back and beat it two more times. I occasionally go back just to waste some time slaughtering villagers every now and then. Major fun.

Here`s something interesting the seer Theresa is actually the sister of your character from Fable I. You learn this because in Fable I your sisters name is Theresa, she was kidnapped by bandits who cut her eyes and blinded her. However her powers from being a hero made her overcome her disability. In Fable II Theresa mentions a few times about her past briefly and she mentions her brother was a hero. I was amazed to learn this.

Yeah, before getting Fable II I did a ton of research on Fable I, plus I read the tales on the site that told about William Black and Nostro and all. And I think I remember seeing somewhere that William Black is Scythe, and if you choose family at the end of Fable II, the note you get from your sister Rose describes a man matching Scythe's appearance.
