True enough. We once had a case where a woman who was terminated due to poor performance turned around and filed SH charges in retaliation. There was plenty of documentation to disprove her claim, but it was still a major ordeal, especially for the poor guy in question.

In a case like the one the op described, they'd BOTH be fired if it was found they'd violated company policy. Companies simply do not want/need the legal hassles. My state is also employment at will, so yeah - proving wrongful termination is the burden of the employee and VERY difficult to win.

In the context of this thread: consider how many hundreds of thousands of businesses operate every day in the US alone, compared to how few sexual harassment complaints are ever heard. Some of the regulars are religious, but most of us are not, by any stretch of the imagination. Even those who are Christian are extremely open-minded. How To is a community for helping people and getting help. The fact that you don't know this yet shows you haven't taken time to observe and contribute to the community. That's true. A supervisor and one of my coworkers had an affair and everything was going well until she decided she wanted more. He filed a sexual harrassment claim and then she went around bad mouthing him. They would have both been fired if she hadn't gotten a new job at a different company
