You get points for naming the movie, extra points for the character, and an A+ for the name of his group...

The movie this quote is distorted from is "Blade Runner"

The characters are a replicant named Roy Batty played by Rutger Hauer, and a blade runner named Deckard played by Harrison Ford.

OK that was rather well done, I must say.

Roy was not in a band, (your post did draw out a snicker on my end) it is the name of the group of replicants he headed I'm looking for.

oopsie...pre 6am comprehension problem.

Still without the internetz - The group of replicants were known as the Nexus series and specifically the Nexus-6.

I had to do a whole pile of essays and other assorted presentations on Blade runner as part of my year 12 English studies and grew to love that movie. It made a nice change from Shakespeare, Tim Winton and other wordy types in my Literature class.

On another note, it turns out Rutger Hauer did some voice over work on an album titled "Lost in the New Real". Thank you Wikipedia.

You got it. Well done.

I have loved Blade Runner from the first time I saw it when it was first released in '82. Even used "Gaff" as an on-line nom de plume for a time.
